Trumbull Fall Festival 2015
Saturday, September 12th - Trumbull Fall Festival
& Sunday, September 13th - Trumbull Arts Festival
Originally established in 1972 to celebrate the Town of Trumbull’s 175th Anniversary, Trumbull Day has always been a fun-filled family event highlighting the best of what Trumbull has to offer - - from its people to businesses to non-profits and other local organizations.
On Saturday, September 12, 2015 we will celebrate our Town as a community at the Trumbull Fall Festival!
The Festival will run from 2:00 – 10:00 PM on the fields behind Trumbull High School and will feature a Carnival with 14 kiddy, major and spectacular amusement rides, including the traditional Ferris wheel, Pirate Ship and Bumper Cars! ‘Pay One Price’ bracelets will be available for $25 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
There’ll be plenty of gourmet food vendors on hand to satisfy almost any food craving one might have; fried dough from St. Margaret Shrine, Brick Oven pizza from the Verona Pizza Fire Truck, hot dogs, burgers & chicken nuggets from Vazzy’s Four Seasons, BBQ fare from BBQ Rescue Truck, fresh roasted corn from the Cornstalkers, Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches from Steak Street, Mexican fare from Taco Loco, seafood from Szabo’s Seafood Truck, and more! Luigi’s Bakery will bring sweet treats, pastries and specialty coffees, and Walnut Beach Creamery is scooping their famous fall flavors of Dark Pumpkin, Sweet & Salty Maple Walnut, and Butter Beer ice cream!
To quench your thirst, we have the perfect accompaniment – locally brewed ales and beer from the renowned Veracious Brewing Company, in nearby Monroe, CT. Veracious will host a beer and wine garden (for adults 21 and over, from 2 to 9:00 PM), complete with tables and seating so you can enjoy the live entertainment and the fireworks display.
The Main Stage will be active with excitement all day… and evening! A special performance by children’s entertainer, Les Julian, begins at 3:00 for the kids. This multi-National Award-winning artist's songwriting and performing can most recently be heard on the GRAMMY WINNING Compilation CD, All About Bullies...Big and Small. A DJ and emcee will be on hand from ‘David Jason Entertainment’ to keep the stage lively through the afternoon.
Adults will want to arrive by 5:00 to enjoy the popular Highland Rovers Band! Known for their diversity in New York Metro music scene, the HRB fuses popular rock percussive rhythms, bagpipes, fiddle and vocal harmonies to create an intricate and fresh sound. HRB's multi-layered, upbeat, and danceable music showcases their universal, appeal to both mainstream modern rock lovers and culturally diverse audiences searching for a distinct celtic flavor.
The fun-filled family day would not be complete without fireworks! At dusk, nationally-renowned Pyrotechnico Fireworks, Inc., will provide a spectacular, advanced display of illuminations and special effects. A perfect salute to the end of summer!
There is a $5 admission fee for adults and children over the age of 5. No backpacks, large bags, coolers, food or beverages are allowed. Bags are subject to inspection, and service animals only, please.

37th Annual Trumbull Arts Festival
Fine hand crafted items including garden ornaments, sea glass jewelry, pottery and children’s accessories are among the works that will be for sale on the historic Town Hall Green as the Trumbull Arts Commission hosts the 37th annual Trumbull Arts Festival on Sunday September 13th, from 10AM to 4PM, 5866 Main Street in Trumbull, rain or shine.
The juried show features over 65 fine artists and crafters from the tri-state area and beyond. Hundreds of pieces of fine artwork, photography and sculpture in various media will also be for sale.
The Festival also features a Children’s Creative Center where children can create a number of crafts at no cost. The Center is manned by the Trumbull Community Women and is open to children ages 3 and up, accompanied by an adult.
Day long entertainment enhances the Festival, beginning with “Harmony on the Sound” at 11:00Am followed by singer Evelyn Sload at 11:50AM.
After the awards ceremony at 12:30, “Studio Rio” takes the stage at 1:00pm, followed by “Survivor Swing Band” at 2:30PM.
This year again the brick walk at Town Hall will be the site of several Community Groups handing out information and explaining their mission and programs. Among the participants are the Discovery Museum, Bijoux Theatre, and representatives from The Trumbull Animal Group.
Trumbull Arts Festival Seeks Photos: New to the Arts Festival this year is a project manned by the Trumbull Nature and Art Center, inviting people attending the Festival to bring a photo to place on the collage board which will be displayed at the Town Hall. The word “ART” will be in open face letters with space for numerous photos from the Community. The project will be on the back side of the Green, alongside the fine artists, for the length of the day.
The Arts Festival, cited by Fairfield County Connect as one of the best 100 reasons to visit Fairfield County, is a real part in celebrating this Community.
