In addition, or as an alternative, you can have the notifications sent to your cellular phone as an MMS text message. Below is a brief summary of the format used by the major carriers.
As an example, to have email notifications sent to your mobile phone as an MMS text message with a Verizon account you would use the “@vzwpix.com” extension in the MMS address. The MMS address you use is your phone number followed by the carriers extension. The MMS address would look something like 4151112222@vzwpix.com. Below are the MMS address formats for several large cellular carriers:
Verizon – “phonenumber@vzwpix.com” or 4151112222@vzwpix.com
AT&T – 4151112222 @mms.att.net.
Nextel – 4151112222 @messaging.nextel.com
Sprint – 4151112222 @messaging.sprintpcs.com
T-Mobile – 4151112222 @tmomail.net
