Description of Services

The responsibility of the Building Department is the review of all construction plans for compliance with the Connecticut Basic Building Code, including plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and electrical.  We are also responsible for the review of all swimming pool applications for compliance with zoning and life safety features that are part of the Connecticut Code; also, the fencing of pools and all safety devices necessary to protect life.  We also answer emergency calls from the Fire Department to assess damages after house fires and other happenings.
