Babe Ruth Baseball
Trumbull Babe Ruth Baseball is one of the most successful programs in New England. The league is open to boys and girls 13 to 15 years old, with 2 senior teams comprised of 16 through 18 year olds. The league has a no-cut policy which means that anyone signing up and wanting to play will get to play at a level of competition suiting his or her ability. In the last 16 years, the league has grown from 6 teams to 16 teams and serves between 200-225 boys and girls. The Trumbull Babe Ruth All-Star teams, the 13s, 14s and 15s have excelled in competition throughout the New England area, winning District Titles 8 of the last 10 years. The 1995 13,14,15 year old All-Star teams each won State Championships with the 13 year old team finishing 2nd at the World Series in North Carolina. In 1996 the 14 year old team went on to the win the Regional Championship. In 1998, our 16 year old team went to the World Series in Virginia, finishing in 5th place. In 1999, our 16- year-old team went to the Regional Championship! The league officers and coaches are screened very carefully. This assures the highest caliber of leadership for the players. Through the years this type of leadership has led to the players’ becoming outstanding individuals at both the high school and college level. For further information contact Mike Fedell, President, Trumbull Babe Ruth at 257-1682. Baseball players over age 18 may call for playing opportunities in the Senior City League.
