Trumbull High School Academic Challenge for Excellence (ACE) Foundation The Trumbull High School Academic Challenge for Excellence (ACE) Foundation is a non-profit organization served by a board of volunteers dedicated to enriching Trumbull High School’s strong commitment to fostering intellectual and leadership growth opportunities offered to its students. The ACE Foundation is dedicated to support students and teachers interested in going “above and beyond” activities traditionally available in Trumbull High School’s classrooms. To varying degrees over time, this will involve support to academic teams and groups engaged in competitive activities that extend outside the local community as well as to eligible individual students pursuing out-of-classroom independent study. Academic teams and groups currently receiving Foundation support include the Debate Club, the Eagle’s Eye newspaper, the Federal Challenge Team, the Math Team, the Model United Nations Team, the Trillium yearbook, and the We the People Team. The foundation has collaborated with the Trumbull’s First Selectman Office to create and distribute the Trumbull Town Calendar. Interested students, whether members of THS academic teams or not, are invited to participate in Town Calendar activities and, in so doing, are able to earn community service experience. For further information, contact THS Principal (and ACE Foundation President) Gary Cialfi at 452-4531 or cialfig@trumbullps.org.
