9/16/2012 - 34th Annual Trumbull Arts Festival on Sunday, Sept. 16th

34th Annual Trumbull Arts Festival

Fine hand crafted items including one of a kind tree branch carvings, garden ornaments, sea glass jewelry, pottery and tilapia leather goods are among the crafts that will be on display and for sale on the historic Town Hall Green as the Trumbull Arts Commission hosts the 34th annual Trumbull Arts Festival on Sunday September 16th, from 10Am to 4PM, 5866 Main Street in Trumbull, rain or shine.

The juried show features 65 artists and crafters from the tri-state area and beyond. Hundreds of pieces of fine artwork, photography and sculpture in various media will also be for sale. The artists will be delighted to talk to you about their works.

The Festival also features a Children’s Creative Center where children can create a number of crafts at no cost. The Center is manned by the Trumbull Community Women and is open to children ages 3 and up, accompanied by an adult. The Center is funded by “Kids First Dentistry” of Fairfield.

Day long entertainment enhances the Festival, beginning with singer Taylor Felt at 11:30AM, followed by Emily Pisarra at noon.  After the awards ceremony at 12:30pm, “Cadwallader, Assetta and Dixon”, jazz, takes the stage at 1:00pm, followed by the “Jerrod Cattey Brazilian Guitar Trio” at 2:30PM.

Food vendors from “Paradise Island”, “Liquid Lunch” and “Lou’s Kettle Corn” will also be on hand selling soups, Shish kabobs, turnovers, along with an ice cream truck, among other selections.

This year the brick walk at Town Hall will be the site of several Community Groups handing out information and explaining their mission and programs.

Participating will be the Discovery Museum, Trumbull Community Women, and representatives from “Wounded Warriors”.
The Nature and Arts Center will be next to the Children’s tent.

The Arts Festival, cited by Fairfield County Connect as one of the best 100 reasons to visit Fairfield County, is a real part of the fall celebrations of this Community.
