Welcome from the Director
The Town of Trumbull Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to present our 2016 fall and winter recreation programs and activities to the community. We hope this wide variety of programs will include something for everyone. From our popular children’s sing-a-longs for preschoolers to recreation basketball for school age children to water aerobics for seniors we hope we have offerings for the whole community.
And in addition to the many program offerings we encourage you to enjoy the spectacular New England fall weather by taking a walk in the acres of beautiful park land and miles of trails available right here in our own backyard. Take a hike in the Twin Brooks Park, bike along the Pequonnock River trails, enjoy the dog park at Indian Ledge with your best friend or play some fall pickleball down at Unity Park. If you are in Trumbull, you can’t be far from a spectacular public park.
And if golf is your game, don’t put you clubs away just yet. Grab your clubs and head up to Tashua Knolls Golf Course. Bobby Brown, PGA Professional and his staff are ready to welcome you to the home of the 2017 Connecticut Amateur Championship. Special Fall rates are available. And, if it has been a while since you’ve hit the links, Bobby and his professional staff would be happy to give your game a tune-up on the range or in the Miklus Indoor Training Center.
And don’t forget to join your neighbors at the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on the Town Hall Green in December. It’s a great time of year to celebrate being a resident of the great Town of Trumbull!
