The Town of Trumbull recognizes that some of our residents are physically unable to rake their own yards or shovel their driveways and walkways. The Town is pleased to provide assistance to our Senior citizens (65+) and people with disabilities (18+) who could benefit from help offered by our local students who are seeking community service hours.
Seniors in Need of Assistance with Leaf Pickup or Snow Shoveling
When a resident is in need of raking or shoveling, they will contact the Trumbull Senior Center and the Center will contact the volunteer. The volunteer may choose which jobs to accept and can work individually, in pairs, or in a group. Services are limited to outdoor work only. Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation. Once the job is complete, the homeowner will sign the Community Service Form.
The Center at Priscilla Place (Trumbull Senior Center) is CLOSED until further notice. This is in consideration of the well-being of the vulnerable and high-risk population being served. We are closely monitoring the recommendations of the CDC, state and local officials and will keep our members informed as things evolve. In the meantime, the senior center is offering exercise, art, and educational programs online. Please Call (203) 452-5199 for a calendar of events or visit the town website.
The Center's Lunch Program is also CLOSED until further notice.
