TPAUD, Trumbull’s Prevention Partnership, and Trumbull EMS, are offering a free Overdose Prevention & Narcan Training at Trumbull EMS, 250 Middlebrooks Ave., Trumbull at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2021. During the session participants will learn about addiction, overdose prevention strategies, and signs and symptoms of an overdose, and will receive instruction on how to administer Naloxone (commonly referred to as Narcan), a nasal spray used to reverse an opioid overdose.
The training will also provide an overview of the “new” marijuana and the potential for addiction, as well as a brief introduction to the connection between substance use disorders and overdose.
All participants 18 and up will receive a free Narcan Overdose Prevention Kit and Medication Lockbox.
