[ARCHIVED] Trumbull Food Pantry Selected for Stop and Shop Community Bag Program

Community Bag Program

Michele Jakab, Director of Human Services, Senior Center and Social Services is excited to share that the Trumbull Food Pantry has been selected to be a part of the Stop and Shop Community Bag Program. This program is designed to make it easy for customers to contribute to their local community while supporting the environment.

Throughout this coming March, each time a $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at the Stop and Shop located at 100 Quality St. in Trumbull, $1.00 will be donated to Trumbull Food Pantry. This is a great way to raise awareness, support the environment, and fundraise for the cause.

Karen Seferi, Food Pantry Coordinator, states, “This is a fantastic way to support the Trumbull Food Pantry and be kind to our environment. It takes just one person to tell another, and then another, before we can have a real success story for those that are most in need in our community.”
