Floating Palaces: The Classic Liners Sunday, February 5th from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. This presentation by Rick Abramson will cover the origins of Trans-Atlantic travel from its infancy, through the halcyon years of the great Atlantic liners in the 1920's and 1930's; the great part these liners played in WWII and the decline of post-war ocean travel with the advent of Trans-Atlantic air travel.
