Do It Yourself: Wooden Bead Vase Saturday, March 4th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Transform a plain bud vase into something beautiful at this event. Participants will use wooden beads, paint, and hot glue to decorate the vase. All supplies are included for this event. Registration is required.

Floating Palaces: The Classic Liners Sunday, March 5th from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. This presentation by Rick Abramson will cover the origins of Trans-Atlantic travel from its infancy, through the halcyon years of the great Atlantic liners in the 1920's and 1930's; the great part these liners played in WWII and the decline of post-war ocean travel with the advent of Trans-Atlantic air travel. The program contains details of the various liners and also the parts some of them played in Hollywood. Interior photos will highlight the magnificent interiors of these ships and conclude with a resurgence of ship-board travel today. Register here. 

Oscar Talk with Film Critic Joe Meyers Tuesday, March 7th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Joe Meyers returns for his annual Oscar talk & discussion. Meyers will discuss the history of the Academy Awards and this year’s slate of nominees, as well as who he thinks might win at the 95th Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday, March 12th. Register here for Zoom link.

From Streaming TV to the Oscars: How Netflix Is Disrupting the Entertainment Industry Wednesday, March 8th from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

From its start as a DVD-by-mail rental service, Netflix has systematically changed the rules of the media business. Media expert Brian Rose explores how Netflix is primed to become the dominant source of leisure time entertainment throughout the world. Register here.

Adult Fiction Book Club Thursday, March 9th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Join us as we discuss The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin. We have a limited amount of copies of this month's book available for check out at the main branch. Register here.

Tom O'Carroll: Irish Humourist and Folksinger Sunday, March 12th from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dublin-born folklorist, folk-singer and instrumentalist Tom O'Carroll brings a wealth of stories, humor, wit and history in his performance. Register here.

Children's and Teen Programming

Book Club for Grades 4-6 Wednesday, March 1st from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. This month we are reading One Kid's Trash by Jamie Sumner. Read the book on your own and then join us for a lively discussion at the library. Register here.

Dungeons & Dragons: Potion Masters Craft Monday, March 6th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Calling all adventurers! Be sure to stock up before your next big dungeon crawl with Potions of Healing, Draughts of Strength, Potion of Animal Friendship, Poisons, and so much more! Teens ages 12 - 17 will make their own labelled 'potion' (slime) bottles with dyes, glitter, etc. with bottle holder. Registration required.

Toddler Time for 2s and 3s Monday, February 27th Join Ms. Chelsie in person for stories, songs, and dances. Ages 2-3. To accommodate space restrictions, we will limit the number of participants each week. To ensure all families have a chance to try and attend this program, you must register every week.

Baby Time Tuesday, February 28th from 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Ages birth to 2. Meet in-person at the library for story time! Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform finger plays. Registration is not required.

Random Adult Book Club Monday, February 27th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. “Hot Book" fiction, thrillers, mysteries, memoirs, sci-fi, non-fiction. You never know what genre we will explore or what rabbit hole we'll go down. The book selection for this month is: Verity by Colleen Hoover. Registration required, adults only.

Crafts with Cindy: Adult Coloring Monday, February 27th from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Join us for a relaxing night of adult coloring! Use our designs, markers and colored pencils. Registration required, ages 12 and up. 

Story Times 2s and 3s Tuesday, February 28th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come join us for story time! We will have a little bit of stories and a show stopping craft. Registration required. Ages 2-3.
