Adult Programming
The Yarn Darlings Wednesday, March 22nd from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Join our new fiber arts group. We will meet every other Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Bring your knitting, crocheting, needle punching, needle felting, or any other yarn craft to work on while socializing with other crafters. All skill levels are welcome. Registration is requested for the group but not required.
The Friends Book Sale Saturday, March 26th from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Friends of the Trumbull Library will conduct a book sale. All are welcome! We accept cash, cards, cash apps and checks. You can register below if you would like to be sent a reminder one week ahead of the next book sale.
The Last Click Tuesday, March 28th 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Joint replacement surgery is a procedure of orthopedic surgery in which an arthritic or dysfunctional joint surface is replaced with an orthopedic prosthesis. Joint replacement is considered as a treatment when severe joint pain or dysfunction is not alleviated by less-invasive therapies. Presented by Hartford Health Care and Trumbull Library, Dr. Curtis Campbell, Board Certified Orthopedic surgeon specializing in Joint replacements, will discuss current trends and practices in his field. DIY Dip-Dyed Stationery Saturday, April 1st from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. April is National Letter Writing Month. Join us and create a dip dyed note cards to write on and send to friends. Supplies provided. Register here.
Sunday Live Performance: Nina Et Cetera Sunday, April 2nd from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Versatile band performed a mix of original songs and covers, blending rock, folk, soul, country, and blues. Join us!
DIY: Spring Macramé Gnome Saturday, April 8th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. It's spring gnome season! Join us for a lovely spring afternoon to make a small spring gnome. Participants will use macramé cords, yarn, and wooden components to assemble their darling gnomes. Registration is required for this event. All supplies are included.
Plan Your Estate Before It’s Too Late Tuesday, April 11th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. A discussion on wills, estates and legacy giving will answer basic questions to help you get started in thinking about your own plan. A question and answer period will follow the presentation. Moderating the panel will be Rebecca Miller, a wealth and legacy planner specializing in retirement planning. Discussion will be led by Gail Matthews, a local trust and estates attorney. Register here.
