DIY: String Art Saturday, June 24th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. We can't wait to see you here! Join us for an afternoon craft that combines wood, nails, and string to make your very own mini-masterpiece. Registration is required for this event. All supplies are included. 

Get A Clue Mystery Book Club Monday, June 26th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Join our new mystery book club! We meet virtually every fourth Monday to discuss the book. This month’s pick: The Woman in the Library by Sulari Gentill. 

Yoga at the Library Tuesday, June 27th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Join Joanne Orenstein, Health & Wellness Director at the Lakewood-Trumbull YMCA, for an hour of Vinyasa Yoga. Register here.

The Yarn Darlings Wednesday, June 28th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Join our new fiber arts group The Yarn Darlings! Bring your knitting, crocheting, needle punching, needle felting, or any other yarn craft to work on while socializing with other crafters. All skill levels are welcome. We can’t wait to see you there. Registration is requested for the group but not required. Basic knitting and crocheting help are available upon request. 

Let’s Talk Dirty: Composting at Home Thursday, June 29th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wondering how you can help your community become more sustainable? Practice waste diversion! Waste diversion is the process of diverting and redirecting waste from landfills. At this program you will learn the basics of composting at home to reduce the amount of garbage your household produces on a weekly basis. Presented in partnership with Sustainable Trumbull. The presentation will be hosted by Sustainable Trumbull member and local composter April Lang. Join us!

Children and Teen Programming

Toddler Time for 2's and 3's Monday, June 26th from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Toddler time is now drop in! Join Ms. Chelsie in person for stories, songs, and dances. Ages 2-3.

Drop-in Crafts Monday, June 26th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fun crafts to complete in the Library. All ages with parents. Drop in.

Baby Time Tuesday, June 27th from 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Ages birth to 2. Join Miss Elise in the Community Room for storytime! Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform fingerplays. We have a limited number of seat cushions for sitting on the floor, so families are invited to bring blankets or towels as well. Registration is not required. Questions? Teens: Terracotta Pots Thursday, June 29th from 2 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. Greek pottery is well known today for its striking black and orange designs. Now teens ages 12-17 have a chance to create their own modern interpretation! Using terracotta pots, teens can either use provided stencils for a more 'authentic' Greek design, or come up with their own. All materials will be provided. Registration is required. 

Percy Jackson Book Club Thursday, June 29th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Let's celebrate the new Percy Jackson book (expected in September) and the upcoming TV series with a Percy Jackson Book Club! We will be reading the entire series over the next few months. We will discuss The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan at our first meeting. Several library copies of the book are available for check out at the Children's Desk. Ages 8-12. Registration is required. The Lightning Thief discussion - 6/29/23

Princess & Knight Crafternoon Saturday, July 1st from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Pretend to be a prince, princess, or knight with these fun crafts! Ages 3-6. Registration is required.

Random Adult Book Club Monday, June 26th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Come join us for a book club that is exactly that. "Hot Book" fiction, thrillers, mysteries, memoirs, sci-fi, non-fiction, chick lit... You never know what genre we will explore or rabbit hole we'll go down! We meet the fourth Monday of each month. The book selection for this month is: The Paper Palace by Miranda Cowley Heller.

D&D Club Thursday, June 29th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Make new friends and take part in exciting adventures! Never played before? No problem! No prior experience with D&D is required and all the materials will be provided. Bring your own character or use one of our pre-made characters. Open to ages 12 and up. Registration is required.
