Yoga at the Library Tuesday, July 25th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Join Joanne Orenstein, Health & Wellness Director at the Lakewood-Trumbull YMCA, for an hour of Vinyasa Yoga. Register here. 

The Yarn Darlings Wednesday, July 26th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Bring your knitting, crocheting, needle punching, needle felting, or any other yarn craft to work on while socializing with other crafters. All skill levels are welcome. We can’t wait to see you there. Registration is requested for the group but not required. Basic knitting and crocheting help are available upon request. 

Trivia Night: Movies Wednesday, July 26th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Ready to test your knowledge and challenge your friends? Join Trivia Night! Compete for prizes, have some fun, and show off your smarts! Bring your friends and your brain power for an unforgettable night of trivia. THEME: Movies! Register here.

DIY: Glass Bead Suncatcher Friday, July 28th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Catch rays of sunshine with this DIY glass bead suncatcher craft! Participants will use clear glue and flat glass beads to create their own unique suncatcher. All supplies are provided. Registration is required for this event.

Mini-Zines with Zanny Saturday, August 5th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Create your own subculture self-publication! Bring an idea, then draw, write, cute & paste to share your knowledge. Mini-zines are one page folded, handmade paper expressions of ideas, facts, photos, etc., created by an individual. Participants will learn the basics and our instructor, Zanny, will be on hand to answer any questions participants may have. Register here.

Genealogy for all with Jennifer Zinck: Getting Started with Genealogy Wednesday, August 9th from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. From antique heirlooms to cutting-edge science, there is something for everyone who is interested in family history. Have fun learning about records and places that provide clues to your ancestors, the easiest way to find those resources, and what to do once you have found them. Grow your family tree through a variety of online resources that will be introduced. This series is designed for both beginner and intermediate experience levels. Please feel free to attend one or all sessions. If you have a question in mind, bring it along! Register here.

Kids and Teen Programming

Flapper Crafternoon Monday, July 24th from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Join us to string faux pearls and make feather headbands to make even the most glamorous of flappers in the past envious! All materials provided. Register here.

Baby Time Tuesday, July 25th from 11 a.m. to 11:20 p.m. Ages birth to 2. Join Miss Elise in the Community Room for storytime! Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform fingerplays. We have a limited number of seat cushions for sitting on the floor, so families are invited to bring blankets or towels as well. Registration is not required. Questions? You Choose: Titanic Tuesday, July 25th from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. All aboard! The date is April 10, 1912, and the Titanic is about to set sail on its maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New York City, United States. Pretend to be a passenger and make decisions as the ship crosses the Atlantic. But beware, there are icebergs out there, and there's a rumor there aren't enough lifeboats...Ages 8-12. Registration is required.

Some of the topics include charging, range, emissions savings, cost savings, available vehicles, and more. Learn which vehicle is best for you and what the benefits are by going electric! Registration required.
