Get A Clue Mystery Book Club Monday, September 25th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Join our mystery book club! We will meet virtually every fourth Monday to discuss the book.  Copies of this month’s pick will be available at the circulation desk. Drop-in Tech Help Friday, September 29th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Oh fudge, the computer has done it again! Feeling frustrated or simply in need of a quick tutorial? Drop-in tech help is available to assist you with less complex computer issues that require 15 -20 minutes of help. Whether you’d like to ask a quick question about how to do something on your smartphone or whether you’d like some help learning a specific computer skill, we’re here to help. Click here for more information. 

Nonfiction Book Group Wednesday, October 4th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Consider this your invitation to read and discuss nonfiction! The group discusses all kinds of non-fiction books, including books about science, history, memoirs. Copies of each month's book are available in multiple formats at the Circulation Desk and often as digital audiobooks and eBooks. What is Censorship? A Panel Discussion Thursday, October 5th from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Why is discussing censorship important? How does censorship affect individual and community well-being? Join Trumbull's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Taskforce (EDIT) as they host a moderated panel discussion addressing the above question and many others. Community members are welcome to submit questions beforehand for possible inclusion. Register here.

Toddler Time for 2s and 3s Monday, September 25th from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Toddler time is now drop in! Join Ms. Chelsie in person for stories, songs, and dances. Ages 2-3. 

Baby Time Tuesday, September 26th from 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Ages birth to 2. Join Miss Elise for story time! Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform fingerplays. Registration is not required. Recognizing Red, Yellow, and Green Flags in Relationships for Teens Wednesday, September 27th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. In any relationship or friendship, challenges may occur. What are some red flags (signaling warning signs of unhealthy relationships), yellow flags (signaling caution), and green flags (signaling healthy rapport)? Come and learn warning signs of unhealthy relationships, caution signs, as well as the hallmarks of healthy relationships and friendships. This program is open to all tweens, teens, and their family members. Registration is not required but suggested for an email reminder. 

Drop-in Paint Chip Bookmarks Tuesday, September 26th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Drop in to the Merwin Room to create your own bookmark using permanent markers and paint chip samples! Beads, string, and ribbon will also be available to add extra flair to your bookmark. All materials provided. This craft is best suited for ages 9-12. Registration is NOT required, but feel free to register for an email reminder.

Pirate Party Saturday, September 23rd from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Arrr, me hearties! All hands-on deck! Join us as we celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day! Come make yerself a pirate hat, make some pirate crafts, and hunt for hidden booty. The adventure is open to all pirates ages 5 and up. Registration is required.

Story Time 2s and 3s Tuesday, September 26th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come join us for story time! We will have a little bit of stories and a show stopping craft. Registration required. Ages 2-3.

Manuelo “The Playing Mantis” Saturday, September 30th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Creating Musical Readers with the Waterbury Symphony! Creating Musical Readers is a literacy program that pairs a children’s book with a musician from the Waterbury Symphony. Rebecca Patterson will entertain you with her magical cello and read this wonderful and memorable book. Age 2 to 5. Registration required.
