Ain't It Scary? With Sean & Carrie Podcast presents New England Ghost Stories Wednesday, October 11th from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Have you ever had an experience that you simply cannot explain? The Ain't it Scary? with Sean & Carrie podcast hosts a presentation covering a short history of paranormal and ghost stories in New England - from the cases of the Conjuring series-inspiring Warrens to hauntings relating to major historical events to some of the spookiest and strangest stories based in the Northeastern US. Rails to Back Trails: A Local History Bike Tour Sunday, October 15th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Local Trumbull Historian Sue DelBianco will take cyclists back in time to when train was king in the Trumbull Valley. Sue will be stopping off at many historical points-of-interest along the rail-trail: a cow tunnel, site of a train wreck, remains of an amusement park, a mill, a mining company, two train stations, and a reputed witch's gravesite. Please meet at Tait Rd. Commuter Parking Lot. If you are local, we encourage you to bike to the meeting location as parking can become an issue. This Business of Fighting: A Human Face on World War II Sunday October 22nd from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. “This Business of Fighting,” is a live performance story, based on Tony Pritchard’s letters to his parents in Rhode Island between his sailing for Europe in February 1944 and Germany’s surrender about fifteen months later. Join us!

Stuck in the Middle (Grade) Book Club Wednesday, October 18th from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. This month we are reading The Last Apprentice: Revenge of the Witch by Joseph Delaney. The first ten to register can check out a copy from the children's department. Additional participants may join but will be responsible for securing their own copy of the book. This program is for teens in grades 6th - 8th. Register here.

Percy Jackson Book Club Thursday, October 19th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Let’s celebrate the new Percy Jackson book (Percy Jackson and the Chalice of the Gods) and the upcoming TV series with a Percy Jackson Book Club! We will be reading the entire series over the next few months. We will discuss The Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan at this meeting. Several library copies of the book will be available for check out at the Children's Desk. Ages 8-12. Registration is required.

Foraging Fantastic, Delicious, Deadly and Glowing Mushrooms Wednesday, October 11th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Explore the amazing world of fungi and learn to appreciate them for their beauty and flavors. Using all-original and award-winning photography, The 3 Foragers will take you on a visual journey of some of the mushrooms they have encountered in New England, showing their diversity in forms, shapes, and colors. Registration required, ages 12 and up.

Toddler Yoga with Jyothi Thursday, October 12th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Children will learn postures, breathing, techniques, meditation, and relaxation in a fun, age-appropriate setting with a supportive musical playlist. Mats are not required. Registration required for each class. Ages 2 to 5
