This Business of Fighting: A Human Face on World War II Sunday October 22nd from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. “This Business of Fighting,” is a live performance story, based on Tony Pritchard’s letters to his parents in Rhode Island between his sailing for Europe in February 1944 and Germany’s surrender about fifteen months later. Join us!

Drop-in Tech Help Friday, October 27th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Feeling frustrated or simply in need of a quick tutorial? Drop-in tech help is available to assist you with less complex computer issues that require 15 -20 minutes of help. Whether you’d like to ask a quick question about how to do something on your smartphone or whether you’d like some help learning a specific computer skill, we’re here to help. 

Arachnid: A Furry, Fear-Filled Experience Monday, October 30th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tired of the same ol' haunted hayrides? Looking for something creepy and crawly this Hallowe'en? Spook yourself this Hallowe'en with a visit from some 8 legged friends! Riverside Reptile Education Centre will be on hand with up to nine (9) of their eight-legged friends for an interactive and educational experience. Attendees will have a chance to touch or handle a spider during the hour-long presentation. Adults and teens, join us!

Nonfiction Book Group Wednesday, November 1st from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Consider this your invitation to read and discuss nonfiction! The group discusses all kinds of non-fiction books, including books about science, history, memoirs. Copies of each month's book are available in multiple formats at the Circulation Desk and often as digital audiobooks and eBooks. September book selection: THINK AGAIN by Adam Grant. Join us! 

Get A Clue Mystery Book Club Wednesday, November 1st from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Join our mystery book club! Copies of this month’s pick will be available at the circulation desk. Join us to discuss this month’s pick Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney.

DIY: Felt Flowers Friday, November 3rd from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Join us for a fun afternoon making felt flowers. Participants will utilize a pattern to cut out felt pieces and hot glue the pieces together to create unique flowers. All supplies are included in this event. Registration is required.

EDIT Book Club: The Sum of Us Monday, November 6th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Join members of Trumbull's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee, along with staff from Trumbull Library's Adult Services team, to discuss Heather McGee's New York Times Bestseller, The Sum of Us. Please register, space is limited.

Dungeons & Dragons Monday, October 23rd from 5:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. The first meeting will be focused strictly on character creation and going over how to play. All materials, including dice and snacks, will be provided each session. Register here.

Chess Club Monday, October 30th from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. All ages and skill levels are invited to play. Please bring a chess board if you own one. Registration is requested but not required. Questions? Email Seth Schneider, Chess Club Coordinator, at aaronstieg@aol.com.

Family Book Cover Bingo Thursday, November 2nd from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Join us for a fun game of Book Cover Bingo at the library. You'll be looking for book covers instead of numbers and letters. You'll also hear about the library's newest children's books. Small prizes awarded to winners. This is an all-ages family program. Registration is required. When registering, please include the total number of people attending the program (adults too!).

Mini Artists Friday, November 3rd from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. A creative and messy art class where we focus on the process rather than the finished product. Ages 3-5. Registration is required.

Creators’ Corner Exploration Saturday, October 21st from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Join us and learn to use our 3D printer. If you are interested in attending or using the 3D printer, please email Paula Carlson: pcarlson@trumbull-ct.gov

Story Time 2s and 3s Tuesday, October 24th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come join us for story time! We will have a little bit of stories and a show stopping craft. Registration required. Ages 2-3.

Basics of Java Tuesday, October 24th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Learn the basics of Java in this online series. Laptop or Chromebook is required for this course. Conducted by Jack Nolan- a Trumbull High Senior and member of First Tech Challenge Robotics Team Meta^Infinity 18221. Registration is required, once registered you will be signed up for the entire session of 8 classes. Grades 6 and up.

Toddler Yoga with Jyothi Thursday, October 26th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Children will learn postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and relaxation in a fun, age-appropriate setting with a supportive musical playlist. Mats are not required. Registration required for each class. Ages 2 to 5.

Harvest Party Saturday, October 28th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Join us for a fun morning completing Fall and Halloween crafts. Costumes are encouraged! Registration required, all ages.
