EDIT Book Club: The Sum of Us Monday, November 6th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Join members of Trumbull's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee, along with staff from Trumbull Library's Adult Services team, to discuss Heather McGee's New York Times Bestseller, The Sum of Us. Please register, space is limited.

Adult Fiction Book Club Thursday, November 9th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Join us as we read and discuss MY LOVELY WIFE by Samantha Downing in person at the Trumbull Library. We have a limited number of copies of this month's book available for check out at the main branch. Register here. 

Well-Being Wednesday: Lifestyle Medicine with Dr. Raquel Harrison Wednesday, November 15th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Struggling to maintain the diet, exercise, and sleep you need? Lifestyle medical specialist, Dr. Raquel Harrison, will help you create and maintain healthy habits that will improve your physical and mental health. In this session: We need food to survive and THRIVE! This workshop will help you deconstruct basic principles in nutrition, so you come away looking at your plate differently. Register here.

Katharine Hepburn: From Hartford to Hollywood Wednesday, November 15th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. With a stage and film career that spanned six decades, Katharine Hepburn is an American icon. Born and raised in Connecticut, Hepburn had a career in stage, film and television that reflected the changing role of women in broader society.  The story of her life-long ties to Connecticut offers a complete picture of how Hepburn became the woman and the star she was. Register here. 

Knit Beaded Ornament with The Stitching Coach Saturday, November 18th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Learn to knit with beads and create an ornament that will capture the gleam of your holiday lights. Patrons should be comfortable casting on, knitting-in-the-round, purling and binding off. In class you will conquer adding beads to your knitting with the help of Certified Knitting Instructor, Dawn, The Stitching Coach. Yarn and beads included. Join us!

Toddler Time for 2's and 3's Monday, November 6th from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Toddler time is now drop in! Join Ms. Chelsie in person for stories, songs, and dances. Ages 2-3.

Baby Time Tuesday, November 7th from 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Ages birth to 2. Join Miss Elise for storytime! Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform fingerplays. Registration is not required. Chapter Chatter Book Club Tuesday, November 7th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Join Miss Katie for the new 3-5 grade book club, Chapter Chatter! The first ten children registered may pick up a library copy of that month's pick! November's book is Ghost Squad by Claribel A. Ortega. Register here.

Women Transforming the World Wednesday, November 8th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Women have been transforming our world through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics for centuries - yet they have historically been left out of the conversation and even discouraged from participating in these fields. Today only 25% of STEM jobs in the U.S. are held by women and more than two-thirds of young women feel they must work harder than men to be taken seriously in STEM. This program traces the roots of these issues and demonstrates the myriad ways Connecticut women in STEM have transformed our world. Presented by Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame. Registration is requested but not required.

Family ArtSmart: Calico Corn Thursday, November 9th from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Join Kathy Vincent of ArtSmart! Studio for an evening of autumnal art! This mixed media project will feature watercolor, oil pastel & collage elements to create a cluster of rainbow-colored Indian corn. For children in grades K-2. This is a family program, and children must be accompanied by an adult. One craft per family, so this program is best suited for one child and one adult working together. Registration is required. Register once for each child and adult pair.

Children's Watercolor Penguin Saturday, November 11th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Learn how to draw a penguin with oil pastels then paint and create a background using watercolors! This project is for ages 9-12. Please only register for the child/children participating.

Preschool Time Thursday, November 9th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Ages 3-5. Join Miss Katie for storytime! Listen to stories, sing songs, and complete a simple craft. Registration is not required. Questions? Email Miss Katie at ksabo@trumbull-ct.gov.

The Story of Ferdinand Saturday, November 4th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Creating Musical Readers with the Waterbury Symphony! Creating Musical Readers is a literacy program that pairs a children’s book with a musician from the Waterbury Symphony. Ages 2 to 5. Registration required.

Drop-in Crafts Tuesday, November 7th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fun crafts to complete in the library. All ages with parents. Drop in.

Toddler Yoga with Jyothi Thursday, November 9th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Children will learn postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and relaxation in a fun, age-appropriate setting with a supportive musical playlist. Mats are not required. Registration required for each class. Ages 2 to 5.
