Nonfiction Book Group Wednesday, February 7th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Consider this your invitation to read and discuss nonfiction. The group discusses all kinds of non-fiction books, including books about science, history, memoirs. Copies of each month's book are available in multiple formats at the Circulation Desk and often as digital audiobooks and eBooks. February’s book selection: THE GREAT BRIDGE by David McCullough. Well-Being Wednesday: Lifestyle Medicine with Dr. Raquel Harrison Wednesday, February 7th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Struggling to maintain the diet, exercise, and sleep you need? In this monthly workshop, lifestyle medicine specialist, Dr. Raquel Harrison, will help you create and maintain healthy habits that will improve your physical and mental health. Register here.

The Yarn Darlings Wednesday, February 7th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Join our fiber arts group The Yarn Darlings! We will meet every other Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Bring your knitting, crocheting, needle punching, needle felting, or any other yarn craft to work on while socializing with other crafters. All skill levels are welcome. We can’t wait to see you there. Registration is requested for the group but not required.

SCORE: Small Business Marketing from Research to Strategy Implementation Thursday, February 8th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This presentation walks the participants through marketing research and strategy plans to start and build a successful business. Emphasis will be on the value of marketing, branding, messaging, target markets and channels, positioning products and services, marketing methods, and social media. Register here.

Drop-in Tech Help Friday, February 9th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Feeling frustrated or simply in need of a quick tutorial? Drop-in tech help is available to assist you with less complex computer issues that require 15 -20 minutes of help. These sessions are educational in nature, and patrons should have a clear goal of what they would like to learn during their session.

Women and Money Roundtable Wednesday, February 14th from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Join Financial Advisors Julia Strayer and Liz Maccarone as they host The Women and Money Roundtable. This series is a virtual, monthly financial literacy program designed to educate women of any age about the financial matters that affect their lives. The program provides information, resources and learning activities to educate and create a safe and welcoming place for women to learn, share their experiences, and ask questions. Toddler Time For 2s & 3s Monday, February 5th from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Toddler time is now drop in! Join Ms. Chelsie in person for stories, songs, and dances. Ages 2-3.

FIRST Tech Challenge: Robot Scrimmage Saturday, February 10th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. FIRST Tech is a challenge where teams of 7th - 12th graders are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. Hosted by Trumbull High School Students from FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Team Robolution 18366, this scrimmage will showcase some of the 2023 - 2024 season teams practice for their upcoming championships. During this event, members of the public are invited to come and watch bots battle for victory! This event is open to all members of the public. Registration is requested for email reminders, but not required. 

Sticker History: African Americans Monday, February 12th from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Build your own African Americans Sticker Book and learn more about the many successful and inspirational African Americans in politics, the arts, science, sports, and business, and the many courageous fighters for civil and equal rights. Each participant will receive a free copy of the African Americans Sticker Book by Sticker Book Publishing and be led through completing the book. Match each sticker of an influential and inspiring historical figure to their biography. Ages 7-12. Space is limited. Registration is required.

Cuenta Cuentos – A Spanish Storytime Wednesday, February 14th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come enjoy stories, sing and dance to fun songs and rhymes – all in Spanish. For children ages 2 & up. Registration required

D & D Club Wednesday, February 14th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Make new friends and take part in exciting adventures! Never played before? No problem! No prior experience with D&D is required and all the materials will be provided. Bring your own character or use one of our pre-made characters. Open to ages 12 and up. Registration is required.
