A St. Patrick's Celebration with Brennan-Lucey Irish Dance Academy Sunday, March 3rd from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Ever want to know why Irish dancers keep their arms in? How come Riverdance became the cultural phenomenon it is today? Come find out with the Brennan-Lucey Irish Dance Academy right here at the library! You will see some spectacular Irish dancing and learn about its history and cultural significance throughout the centuries. Join us!

Get a Clue Mystery (Thriller) Book Club Monday, February 26th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Join our mystery slash mystery-thriller book club! We will meet in hybrid format the fourth Monday of the month to discuss the book. Copies of the month’s pick will be available at the circulation desk. Join us on February 26th from 6:30 to 7:30PM to discuss this month’s pick The Kingdoms of Savannah by George Dawes Green. Registration required to receive zoom link. 

Career Coach: Job Search Wednesday, February 28th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Are you ready to take the next step in your career but feel lost in the world of job searching? Join our workshop and equip yourself with the knowledge, skills, and resources you need to land your dream job! Our experienced job search coach will guide you throughout the workshop, providing one-on-one assistance tailored to your unique needs and goals. Seating is limited to 10 per session. You only need to register for one session.

CT State Community College: Information and Q & A Wednesday, February 28th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. What are the CT State Community Colleges? Why should you consider attending one? How and when should you start applying? All these questions and more will be answered during this informational presentation. This program is open to anyone interested is attending college, whether they be tweens or teens thinking about their futures or older returning students. Registration is requested for an email reminder, but not required. 

EDIT Book Club: How the Word Is Passed Monday, March 4th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Join members of Trumbull's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Task Force for a community conversation. This session we are reading How the Word Is Passed by Clint Smith. Copies will be available at the circulation desk mid January. Register here. 

Oscar Talk with Film Critic Joe Meyers Tuesday, March 5th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Joe Meyers returns for his annual Oscar talk & discussion. Meyers will discuss the history of the Academy Awards and this year’s slate of nominees, as well as who he thinks might win at the 96th Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday, March 10th. Meyers will also moderate a discussion with the participants on what they think of this year’s batch of movies and those that received nominations. Join us.

Nonfiction Book Group Wednesday, March 6th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Consider this your invitation to read and discuss nonfiction! We read a wide variety of popular fiction and across the genres of nonfiction. March book selection: IN LOVE by Amy Bloom. Join us.

Toddler Time for 2's and 3's Monday, February 26th from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Toddler time is now drop in! Join Ms. Chelsie in person for stories, songs, and dances. Ages 2-3.

Baby Time Tuesday, February 27th from 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Ages birth to 2. Join Miss Elise for storytime! Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform fingerplays. Registration is not required. Children's Mushroom Cap Houses Saturday, March 2nd from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Design your own 2D Mushroom Cap House using popsicle sticks and paper to make windows, doors, and other fun decorations on your house! This craft is best suited for ages 6-8/grades 1-3. Register here.

Founding Mothers: Women Who Shaped Our Nation Wednesday, March 6th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. What role has Connecticut played in America’s larger story? How did Connecticut women help to shape our state, our nation, and our world? This interactive program explores the stories of some of Connecticut’s remarkable women from the colonial period through the Civil War. This program is for attendees ages 12+, including parents/guardians. Registration is requested for our email reminder, but not required.

Random Adult Book Club Monday, February 26th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Come join us for a book club that is exactly that.  "Hot Book" fiction, thrillers, mysteries, memoirs, sci-fi, non-fiction, chick lit... You never know what genre we will explore or rabbit hole we'll go down! We meet the fourth Monday of each month. The book selection for this month is: FALLING by T J Newman. Register here. 

Storytime 2s & 3s Tuesday, February 27th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come join us for story time! We will have a little bit of stories and a show stopping craft. Registration required. Ages 2-3.

Creators’ Corner Exploration Wednesday, February 28th from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Join us at the Fairchild-Nichols Memorial Library and learn to use our 3D printer. If you are interested in attending or using the 3D printer, please email Paula Carlson: pcarlson@trumbull-ct.gov

D & D Club Wednesday, February 28th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Make new friends and take part in exciting adventures! Never played before? No problem! No prior experience with D&D is required and all the materials will be provided. Bring your own character or use one of our pre-made characters. Open to ages 12 and up. Registration is required.
