EDIT Book Club: How the Word Is Passed Monday, March 4th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Join members of Trumbull's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Task Force for a community conversation. This session we are reading How the Word Is Passed by Clint Smith. Copies will be available at the circulation desk mid January. Register here. 

Oscar Talk with Film Critic Joe Meyers Tuesday, March 5th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Joe Meyers returns for his annual Oscar talk & discussion. Meyers will discuss the history of the Academy Awards and this year’s slate of nominees, as well as who he thinks might win at the 96th Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday, March 10th. Meyers will also moderate a discussion with the participants on what they think of this year’s batch of movies and those that received nominations. Join us.

Nonfiction Book Group Wednesday, March 6th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Consider this your invitation to read and discuss nonfiction! We read a wide variety of popular fiction and across the genres of nonfiction. March book selection: IN LOVE by Amy Bloom. Join us.

Oscar Trivia with Kellie Monday, March 11th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Lights, camera, action! Are you a film buff who makes it a point to watch every Academy Award-nominated film? Bring your movie knowledge and some friends or make new friends. Win prizes and test your knowledge about some of the nominated movies from 2024 and previous years. Please register each member of your team, under one primary registration. 

Well-Being Wednesday: Lifestyle Medicine with Dr. Raquel Harrison Wednesday, March 13th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Struggling to maintain the diet, exercise, and sleep you need? In this monthly workshop, lifestyle medicine specialist, Dr. Raquel Harrison, will help you create and maintain healthy habits that will improve your physical and mental health. Women and Money Roundtable Wednesday, March 13th from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Join Financial Advisors Julia Strayer and Liz Maccarone as they host The Women and Money Roundtable. This series is a virtual, monthly financial literacy program designed to educate women of any age about the financial matters that affect their lives. The program provides information, resources and learning activities to educate and create a safe and welcoming place for women to learn, share their experiences, and ask questions. Adult Fiction Book Club Thursday, March 14th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Join us as we read and discuss THE MAID by Nita Prose. We have a limited of copies of this month's book available for check out at the main branch circulation desk. Register here. 

Sustainable Trumbull Presents: From Invasive to Native: A Backyard Restoration In this presentation, Trumbull resident, Pam Roman is going to illustrate how she removed invasive shrubs and vines to create a native pollinator-friendly garden. How can such a daunting, seemingly hopeless task become reality? Learn how Pam did this on her own property, day-by-day, month-by-month, over a period of 3 years. Join us.

Founding Mothers: Women Who Shaped Our Nation Wednesday, March 6th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. What role has Connecticut played in America’s larger story? How did Connecticut women help to shape our state, our nation, and our world? This interactive program explores the stories of some of Connecticut’s remarkable women from the colonial period through the Civil War. This program is for attendees ages 12+, including parents/guardians. Registration is requested for our email reminder, but not required.

PJ Storytime Monday, March 11th from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Put on your PJs, bring your favorite stuffed animal, and join Miss Elise for storytime and a simple craft! Ages 3-6. Registration is required.

Bucket of Gold Stars Tuesday, March 12th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Learn how to fold origami lucky stars and fill your own bucket of them! Registration is required. This is a teen program for ages 12+. 

Cherry Blossom Lanterns Wednesday, March 13th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This year, the National Cherry Blossom Festival will be celebrated between March 20th-April 14th. Started in 1912 when Tokyo Mayor Yukio Ozaki gifted Washington, D.C. with 3,000 cherry trees to celebrate the two countries bond it is now an annual celebration. during the week-long event, visitors come from all over to watch the trees bloom and to participate in a variety of organized events. During this event, teens (grades 6-12) will get to paint their own cherry blossom paper lanterns. Register here.

Storytime 2s & 3s Tuesday, March 5th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come join us for story time! We will have a little bit of stories and a show stopping craft. Registration required. Ages 2-3.

Adult Craft Time Wednesday, March 6th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Enjoy an evening of crafting and decorating a mason jar with pressed flowers. All materials are included. Registration required, ages 12 and up.

D & D Club Wednesday, March 13th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Make new friends and take part in exciting adventures! Never played before? No problem! No prior experience with D&D is required and all the materials will be provided. Bring your own character or use one of our pre-made characters. Open to ages 12 and up. Registration is required.
