Well-Being Wednesday: Lifestyle Medicine with Dr. Raquel Harrison Wednesday, March 13th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Struggling to maintain the diet, exercise, and sleep you need? In this monthly workshop, lifestyle medicine specialist, Dr. Raquel Harrison, will help you create and maintain healthy habits that will improve your physical and mental health. Women and Money Roundtable Wednesday, March 13th from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Join Financial Advisors Julia Strayer and Liz Maccarone as they host The Women and Money Roundtable. This series is a virtual, monthly financial literacy program designed to educate women of any age about the financial matters that affect their lives. The program provides information, resources and learning activities to educate and create a safe and welcoming place for women to learn, share their experiences, and ask questions. Adult Fiction Book Club Thursday, March 14th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Join us as we read and discuss THE MAID by Nita Prose. We have a limited of copies of this month's book available for check out at the main branch circulation desk. Register here. 

Sustainable Trumbull Presents: From Invasive to Native: A Backyard Restoration Monday, March 18th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. In this presentation, Trumbull resident, Pam Roman is going to illustrate how she removed invasive shrubs and vines to create a native pollinator-friendly garden. How can such a daunting, seemingly hopeless task become reality? Learn how Pam did this on her own property, day-by-day, month-by-month, over a period of 3 years. Join us.

SCORE: Financial Planning for Your Small Business Thursday, March 21st from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Presented by Matthew Krieger. Mr. Krieger is a technologist and executive with experience in IT, manufacturing and nonprofit. He is President of Cober, Inc. and previously held senior IT leadership positions at Time and Reader’s Digest. Registration is not required for this event.

Using Stone in Your Garden Saturday, March 23rd from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Spring is right around the corner, is it time for a backyard upgrade? From steps and paths, benches, seats, ponds, patios to mosaics, follies and other whimsies this richly illustrated talk presents numerous ways to create a sense of structure and drama in the garden. Stone artisan Andrew Pighills will explore the myriad ways in which stone plays a part in the garden, how it defines garden areas, or paths, walkways and patios, and more, and which material is most suitable to creating contrast or harmony.

PJ Storytime Monday, March 11th from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Put on your PJs, bring your favorite stuffed animal, and join Miss Elise for storytime and a simple craft! Ages 3-6. Registration is required.

Bucket of Gold Stars Tuesday, March 12th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Learn how to fold origami lucky stars and fill your own bucket of them! Registration is required. This is a teen program for ages 12+. 

Cherry Blossom Lanterns Wednesday, March 13th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This year, the National Cherry Blossom Festival will be celebrated between March 20th-April 14th. Started in 1912 when Tokyo Mayor Yukio Ozaki gifted Washington, D.C. with 3,000 cherry trees to celebrate the two countries bond it is now an annual celebration. during the week-long event, visitors come from all over to watch the trees bloom and to participate in a variety of organized events. During this event, teens (grades 6-12) will get to paint their own cherry blossom paper lanterns. Register here.

Book Cover Bingo Thursday, March 14th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Join us for a fun game of Book Cover Bingo. You'll be looking for book covers instead of numbers and letters. You'll also hear about the library's newest children's books. Small prizes awarded to winners. This is an all-ages family program. Registration is required.

Chess Club Thursday, March 14th from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. All ages and skill levels are invited to play. Please bring a chess board if you own one. Registration is requested but not required.

Girls Who Code (grades 3-5) Saturday March 16th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Girls Who Code Clubs are spaces where girls can join our sisterhood of supportive peers and use Computer Science to change the world. Our 3rd-5th Grade Clubs help build the foundational skills and understanding of computer science concepts and sisterhood through a reading discussion and related activities. No prior coding knowledge or experience is needed! Space is limited. Grades 3-5. Register once for the entire session (March 16th and ending May 4th).

Storytime 2s & 3s Tuesday, March 12th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come join us for story time! We will have a little bit of stories and a show stopping craft. Registration required. Ages 2-3.

D & D Club Wednesday, March 13th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Make new friends and take part in exciting adventures! Never played before? No problem! No prior experience with D&D is required and all the materials will be provided. Bring your own character or use one of our pre-made characters. Open to ages 12 and up. Registration is required.

Total Solar Eclipse 2024 Wednesday, March 20th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Join us for a special presentation by one of NASA Solar System Ambassadors, Andy Poniros. During this presentation will learn about the upcoming Total Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8. The safety precautions that are needed and why it's important for scientists to observe this event. Registration is required, ages 12 and up.

Random Adult Book Club Monday, March 25th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Come join us for a book club that is exactly that.  "Hot Book" fiction, thrillers, mysteries, memoirs, sci-fi, non-fiction, chick lit...
