Poetry Workshop with Nicole Caruso Garcia Sunday, April 21st from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. How do you jump-start a poem, make it sing with depth of meaning, yet keep it focused? In this generative workshop for writers at any stage of their poetic journey, we will harness the power of objects, learning to use the “objective correlative,” a term introduced by writer and critic T.S. Eliot, to write a poem that tells an entire emotional story even more powerfully because you are not allowed to directly state the emotions. You will choose an object to explore, allowing readers to see that object through your unique lens, using concrete sensory detail and contrasts to create tension and convey meanings that transcend the literal object. Drop-In Earth Day Art Monday, April 22nd from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Crafts can create a lot of waste product which is why we are making a conscious effort to reduce, reuse, and recycle whenever possible. Make art with recycled and leftover materials. Drop in!

A Beginner's Guide to Public Access Television Thursday, April 25th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Open to Trumbull residents aged 18 years and older, this presentation will showcase the range of video equipment available for public use, along with video clips of our TV studio and edit suites.
