Passport Services Saturday, November 30th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We are happy to partner with the Ferguson Library’s U.S. Passport Center to host passport clinics at Trumbull Library. Their team will Process U.S. passport applications; Guide those that are processing renewals for adults; Take passport photo; Provide all forms; Make copies of all documents; Credit card and cash processing. More information about required documents, pricing, and services, please check the Ferguson Library Passport Center Website. Registration not required. First come, first served.

Nonfiction Book Group Wednesday, November 6th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Consider this your invitation to read and discuss nonfiction! We read a wide variety of popular fiction and across the genres of nonfiction. December’s book selection is The Art Thief: A True Story of Love, Crime, and a Dangerous Obsession. Register here. 

Coastal Mix Holiday Concert Sunday, December 8th from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. It's the holiday season! Come and enjoy some festive music with Coastal Mix. They will sing songs of the season and more. Coastal Mix is an a cappella, mixed voice chorus dedicated to bringing family-friendly entertainment to the community. Formerly known as "The Coastal Chordsmen," they are now a mixed-voice chorus, welcoming all singers regardless of gender. Register here.

End of Year Movies with Joe Meyers Tuesday, December 10th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Was 2024 a great year for movies? Join film critic Joe Meyers to talk about the best movies of the year and the very best reasons to head to the cinema this holiday season. Register here.

Women and Money Roundtable: How to Make Sense of Today’s Financial Markets Wednesday, December 11th from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Join Financial Advisors Julia Strayer and Liz Maccarone as they host The Women and Money Roundtable. This series is a virtual, monthly financial literacy program designed to educate women of any age about the financial matters that affect their lives. The program provides information, resources and learning activities to educate and create a safe and welcoming place for women to learn, share their experiences, and ask questions. Register here.

The Yarn Darlings Wednesday, December 11th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Bring your knitting, crocheting, needle punching, needle felting, or any other yarn craft to work on while socializing with other crafters. All skill levels are welcome. We can’t wait to see you there. Registration is requested for the group but not required. 

New Muse Productions presents: A Christmas Carol Sunday, December 15th from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Join actors Stephen Collins and Poornima Kirby for a funny, heartfelt journey through Charles Dickens' classic, A Christmas Carol. This 1-hour adaptation shows Ebenezer Scrooge’s transformation from a grumpy, selfish misanthrope to a generous, wise, and kindly man, full of the spirit of Christmas. With Stephen playing Scrooge and Poornima swiftly changing between the other characters, this fast-paced, playful adaptation keeps the beauty and humor of Dickens’ original text, interspersed with melodious Christmas carols, and even a lively English folk dance. Toddler Time (Ages 2-3) Monday, December 2nd from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Join Ms. Chelsie in person for stories, songs, and dances. Ages 2-3.

Baby Time Tuesday, December 3rd from 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Ages birth to 2. Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform fingerplays. Registration is not required.

Chapter Chatter Book Club Tuesday, December 3rd from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Join Miss Katie for the new 3-5 grade book club, Chapter Chatter! The first ten children registered may pick up a library copy of that month's pick! December's pick is Weird Little Robots by Carolyn Crimi. Register here.

Preschool Time Thursday, December 5th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Ages 3-5. Join Miss Katie for circle time, stories, and complete a simple craft. Registration is not required.

Mini Artists Friday, December 6th from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. A creative and messy art class where we focus on the process rather than the finished product. Ages 3-5. Registration is required. Please only register for the number of little ones participating, not the adult!

TEEN PROGRAMMING

Teen ArtClub Wednesday, December 11th from 5:30 p.m. 7 p.m. During art club, teens will have the option to either work on a special art project that will be determined each month, or they can bring in their own personal projects from home. Teens are encouraged, but not required, to bring their sketch books to share with other members. For teens ages 12 - 17.
P(ractice)SAT Exam Saturday, December 14th from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. In collaboration with C2 Education, the Trumbull Library System is proud to offer this FREE SAT practice exam session. Because the SAT is now entirely online participants will need to bring their own laptop, charger and graphing calculators! Registering for this session will allow C2 to give participants access to the exam, but that is all. Be sure to attend this event in person to simulate the actual SAT process. SAT Score Report Wednesday, December 18th from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. If you took our practice SAT exam on the 14th, you can come to this event to discuss your results in more depth. You may register for an email reminder.
