Trumbull Library 50th Birthday Celebration with Joe Carter Samba Rio Trio Saturday, June 14th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Trumbull Library is turning 50! Come join us for a morning performance with Trumbull musician, Joe Carter, followed by a new library identity reveal and birthday cake! The Joe Carter Samba Rio Trio celebrates the music of Brazil – Samba, Bossa Nova, Choro, Baiao and more. Their repertoire features songs by Brazil’s classic composers such as Antonio Carlos Jobim, Moacir Santos, Jacob do Bandolim, Luiz Bonfa, Pixinguinha, Baden Powell, Ary Barroso and others.

Ear Wax Sessions: Father's Day Edition Sunday, June 15th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Join the local monthly active listening collective for a special Father's Day. Bring your family and a vinyl record dedicated to your dad to play live. Earwax Sessions lives as an open platform for music lovers to connect, listen, and learn together. Each session has a theme to guide the selections, with this month's being "Song for My Father." Coffee and treats provided by Sound Coffee. Register here. 

Summer Movies & Streaming Tuesday, June 17th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. If you're wondering which blockbuster movie to add to your must watch list this summer, join Film Critic Joe Meyers for a review. Plus, he'll discuss his top streaming picks. This will also be the launch of the library’s new Film Discussion Group. Register here. 

Casual Craft Group Friday, June 20th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Do you enjoy crafting? Join us for Casual Crafters and meet other crafty people! Bring your current project, or start a new one, use available library craft supplies, meet other crafters, and help us create a crafting community! Join us for a relaxing drop-in program for adults. LGBTQ+ 101 with Triangle Community Center Monday, June 23rd from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Join us for a foundational training and space for learning, reflection, and team-building for allies and LGBTQ+ folks alike. The goal is to engage participants in a thorough overview of the LGBTQ+ community. From terminology and definitions to rethinking historical and traditional assumptions about gender and sexuality, this training is a must for all those who wish to build ever-more inclusive and affirming practices. CHILDRENS

Smile For You Bracelet Making Saturday, June 14th from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Join the library and local teen volunteer group, Smile For You, to craft greeting cards and bracelets. All items created during the event will be donated to children currently admitted at Stamford Hospital. All materials will be provided. Open to children in Grades 4 and up. Registration is required.

Toddler Time (Walkers-Age 3) Monday, June 16th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Come and join us for some music and movement at the library! We will sing, dance, and read together. This is a drop-in program. No registration required.

Preschool Time (Age 3-5) Monday, June 16th from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Ages 3-5. Join Miss Kristine for circle time, stories, and complete a simple craft. Registration is not required.

Builders Brigade Monday, June 16th from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Elementary age kids can come and use their creativity to build something fun and unique using Lego blocks and Magna Tiles. All built items will remain at the library. This is a drop-in program. No registration required.

Toddler Time (Walkers-Age 3) Tuesday, June 17th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Come and join us for some music and movement at the library! We will sing, dance, and read together. This is a drop-in program. No registration required.

New Baby Meet-Up (parent & baby) Tuesday, June 17th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Bring your infant to the library for a casual meet-up with other new parents. A perfect opportunity to meet other new parents, chat, compare experiences, find parenting resources, and get out with your new baby.  No registration required.

Baby Time (Birth-walking) Wednesday, June 18th from 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Ages birth to walking. Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform fingerplays. Registration is not required.

Magic Workshop (ages 8-13) Wednesday, June 18th from 4:30 p.m. to 5:10 p.m. Join magician Matt Matthews for a magic learning workshop, where you will get a behind-the-scenes look at how magic tricks really work! Matt Matthews will teach several of his favorite beginner magic tricks—illusions that anyone can learn and perform using household objects. Registration suggested.

Miss Claudia Sings a Story Friday, June 20th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Join Miss Claudia for a musical storytime! Ages 2-5. Younger/older siblings welcome. Registration is not required.

TEEN PROGRAMMING

Grades 7-12 Medieval Tabletop Gaming Saturday, June 21st from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. While waiting for our friends at Laurel City Historical Fencing to prep for their medieval demonstration, join us as the Historical Miniature Gaming Society offers participants a chance to re-enact real historical battles through tabletop miniature battles. Participants will get to control an army over to-scale diorama battlefield. Register here.

Create a Snap Circuit Monday, June 16th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Make snap circuit creation on your own with a little help from us! Join our Master Michael and show us what you can do!!! Ages 8 and up. Drop in.

Tiny Tales 2s, 3s and 4s Tuesday, June 10th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come join Miss Niki for story time! We will have a little bit of stories a little bit of music and a show stopping craft. Registration required. Ages 2-4.
