Drop-in Tech Help Friday, August 29th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Feeling frustrated or simply in need of a quick tutorial? Drop-in tech help is available to assist you with less complex computer issues that require 15 -20 minutes of help. These sessions are educational in nature, and patrons should have a clear goal of what they would like to learn during their session.

The Merritt Parkway: Its History, Design & Legacy Thursday, September 4th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Join us for a local history lecture with Laurie Heiss, co-author of The Merritt Parkway: The Road that Shaped a Region. Built between 1934 and 1940 to relieve congestion on the Boston Post Road, the Merritt Parkway became one of the first scenic highways in the United States designed specifically for automobiles. The Merritt Parkway blends utility with beauty, featuring graceful curves, bucolic landscaping, and a collection of distinct custom bridges. Heiss, a former Executive Director of the Merritt Parkway Conservancy, will delve into the Parkway’s planning and construction as well as the thousands of Depression-era workers who brought it to life. The talk will also explore how the Parkway shaped the development of Fairfield County, helping to turn towns like Trumbull into thriving suburban communities. Register here.

Preschool Time (Age 3-5) Monday, August 25th from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Ages 3-5. Join Miss Kristine for circle time, stories, and complete a simple craft. Registration is not required.

Toddler Time (Walkers-Age 3) Tuesday, August 26th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Come and join us for some music and movement at the library! We will sing, dance, and read together. This is a drop-in program. No registration required.

New Baby Meet-Up Tuesday, August 27th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Bring your infant to the library for a casual meet-up with other new parents. A perfect opportunity to meet other new parents, chat, compare experiences, find parenting resources, and get out with your new baby. No registration required.

Baby Time (Birth-walking) Wednesday, August 28th from 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Ages birth to walking. Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform fingerplays. Registration is not required.

Teen Bites: Superfoods 101 Saturday, September 6th from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Educational culinary workshop celebrating the powerhouses of nutrition and how to incorporate popular Superfoods into your life. Then, after the presentation, teens will get to make their own nut-free cacao bite. Handouts and recipes included to ensure an informative takeaway. Registration is required. Please only register teen participants. Supplies and space are limited, and activities are for youth group only. For grades 6 - 9.

Creator's Corner Drop In Wednesday, August 27th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Drop in and use our 3D printer to create! Ages 8 and up.

Tiny Tales 2s, 3s and 4s Tuesday, September 9th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come join Miss Niki for story time! We will have a little bit of stories a little bit of music and a show stopping craft. Register here. Ages 2-4.

Krista's Kids Yoga Wednesday, September 10th from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Join Krista Boyer for a fun, interactive yoga class for children ages 3 to 6. Bring a mat or towel, bring a water bottle, wear your comfortable clothes and join us for a "zen" 45 minutes of relaxation for your little ones and their caregivers.
