Ebooks & Audiobooks with Your Library Card Thursday, September 11th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Did you know that your Trumbull library card gives you free access to thousands of ebooks and audiobooks - anytime, anywhere? We’ll show you how to borrow materials through OverDrive/Libby and Hoopla using your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Whether you're into bestsellers, mysteries, or memoirs, you’ll learn how to browse, borrow, and start reading or listening in just a few taps—no late fees, no trip to the library! Registration is not required, but you can register if you'd like to ensure a spot and receive a reminder email.

Drop-in Tech Help Friday, September 12th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Feeling frustrated or simply in need of a quick tutorial? Drop-in tech help is available to assist you with less complex computer issues that require 15 -20 minutes of help. These sessions are educational in nature, and patrons should have a clear goal of what they would like to learn during their session. 

Casual Craft Group Friday, September 12th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Do you enjoy crafting? Join us for Casual Crafters and meet other crafty people! Bring your current project, or start a new one, use available library craft supplies, meet other crafters, and help us create a crafting community! Join us for a relaxing drop-in program for adults. Registration encouraged but not required.

Diane Morrisey: In Conversation Saturday, September 20th from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. From our town to your table: Meet Trumbull’s own Diane Morrisey! Join us for a special afternoon with Diane, Trumbull’s own social media star and New York Times bestselling author of You Got This! A local mom of six who grew up cooking for family and friends, Diane has become a national sensation, sharing approachable, family-friendly recipes with more than 1.4 million followers on Instagram. In this moderated discussion, Diane will talk about her journey from Trumbull kitchens to internet stardom, the inspiration behind her debut cookbook, and the power of home cooking to bring people together. The event will include a live audience Q&A and a book signing. Democracy and the Constitution with State Senator Sujata Gadkar-Wilcox Wednesday, September 24th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Join State Senator and Deputy Majority Leader, Sujata Gadkar-Wilcox in a conversation about how our Constitution has balanced power and promoted the public interest since its founding. What conversations should we be having right now about our most fundamental constitutional principles? How will the current interpretations of this founding document impact how our government functions well into the future? What aspects of the founders’ vision of government have been strained over time, especially in recent years, and how can we respond to protect our constitutional republic and to help ensure a meaningful democracy? Register here. 

Community Puzzle Swap Saturday, September 27th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Take a puzzle, leave a puzzle! Join us to swap out your old jigsaw puzzles for new-to-you puzzles. Puzzles must be 300 pieces or more, in good condition, with all pieces present. Please have the puzzle pieces inside a plastic bag in the box. 

Shakespeare’s Queens Sunday, September 28th from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Created and performed by Shakespearean actress, Poornima Kirby, this jewel of a play dances between Elizabeth’s story, and Shakespeare’s own life as a writer and father to two strong-minded daughters. With history, humor and sparkling poetry, Shakespeare’s Queens is a heartfelt and refreshing exploration of some of the bard’s loveliest verse. Register here.

Toddler Time (Walkers-Age 3) Monday, September 8th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Come and join us for some music and movement at the library! We will sing, dance, and read together. This is a drop-in program. No registration required.

Preschool Time (Age 3-5) Monday, September 8th from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Join Miss Kristine for circle time, stories, and complete a simple craft. Registration is not required.

Toddler Time (Walkers-Age 3) Tuesday, September 8th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Come and join us for some music and movement at the library! We will sing, dance, and read together. This is a drop-in program. No registration required.

New Baby Meet-Up Tuesday, September 8th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Bring your infant to the library for a casual meet-up with other new parents. A perfect opportunity to meet other new parents, chat, compare experiences, find parenting resources, and get out with your new baby. No registration required. 

Baby Time (Birth-walking) Wednesday, September 10th from 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Ages birth to walking. Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform fingerplays. Registration is not required.

Preschool Time (Ages 3-5) Thursday, September 11th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Join Miss Katie for circle time, stories, and complete a simple craft. Registration is not required. 

Miss Claudia Sings a Story Friday, September 12th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Join Miss Claudia for a musical storytime! Ages 2-5. Younger/older siblings welcome. Registration is not required.

TEEN PROGRAMMING

Sharing Stitches Yarn Crafts Group (Gr. 4-8) Saturday, September 13th from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. If you are in grades 4-8 and you enjoy crocheting, knitting, or other types if yarn/needle crafts, this is the group for you. Come and work on projects, compare styles, and chat. Some of the group is also available to help you learn some skills. No experience necessary. Registration is required. Each participant must register.

Teen R&R Monday, September 22nd from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. In this program, teens will be encouraged to relax with a variety of low-key activities each session. These activities will change each month but may include coloring pages, Lego blocks, simple crafts, etc. Snacks will be provided. Registration is required. Supplies and space are limited, and activities are for youth age group only.

Tiny Tales 2s, 3s and 4s Tuesday, September 9th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come join Miss Niki for story time! We will have a little bit of stories a little bit of music and a show stopping craft. Register here. Ages 2-4.

Krista's Kids Yoga Wednesday, September 10th from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Join Krista Boyer for a fun, interactive yoga class for children ages 3 to 6. Bring a mat or towel, bring a water bottle, wear your comfortable clothes and join us for a "zen" 45 minutes of relaxation for your little ones and their caregivers. No previous yoga experience required. Register here. 

The Singing Bowl Experience with Amy Ordonez Saturday, September 13th from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Join us for this one-of-a-kind experience that blends informative lecture with hands on exploration. This hour-long class is perfect for anyone curious about the power of sound healing with singing bowls.  Adults only. Registration required.
