Vehicles without current parking permits are subject to a $25 violation. Due to COVID-19, the 2019 parking permits/stickers will be valid until at least 60 days after the Trumbull Parks and Recreation Office reopens. Those without a 2019 or 2020 sticker may request a sticker via email (see Request By Email for more information).

Beginning Friday, May 1st, Old Mine Park and Twin Brooks Park/Walking Trails will be open from 9am-7pm daily.
Park Rangers and Police will monitor parking areas, walkways, and trails. Open for passive recreational activities such as walking, biking, jogging, and exercising only.
All vehicles are required to have valid 2019 or 2020 parking permit (park sticker).
Vehicles without a park sticker will be denied entry and/or ticketed.
Any activity that encourages loitering or group gatherings, such as picnics, sunbathing, group sports, etc., is prohibited.
All playgrounds, restrooms, athletic fields, and pavilions are closed.
Dogs must be leashed at all times. Please clean up after your pet as required by town ordinance.
All patrons must obey park signage, including temporary signage.
Face coverings are recommended when physical distancing cannot be maintained.
Patrons must follow the social distancing and safety protocols recommended by the CDC. Residents that are walking together should be limited to immediate family members that are living together. Park Rangers reserve the right to remove patrons who do not practice safe social distancing.

Parking is only allowed in designated lots and is not allowed along roadways or on the grass.
Decisions to close a park will be made by the police and/or the health department.
Parking is allowed ONLY in designated parking spaces. A valid parking permit is required for entry. A Park Ranger will be at the entrance and will confirm the vehicle has a valid park sticker affixed to their vehicles prior to entry. To ensure safety of our Park Rangers, photo ID, vehicle registration or other proof of residency will not be allowed for entrance.
No parking is permitted on the road leading into the park or around the perimeter of the parking lot. No parking on Tungsten Circle. Rangers will patrol the parking area and surrounding roads checking for park stickers and proper parking.
To help ensure safe social distancing, there will be a limited number of vehicles (60) allowed in Twin Brooks Park at any given time. Vehicles may only enter at the Brock Street entrance - the Franklin Street entrance will remain locked.

Once at capacity, the Park Rangers will follow a 2-cars-in, 2-cars-out protocol. Vehicles will not be allowed to form a queue and wait to enter, nor will the Park Rangers “hold” a spot for a vehicle to gain entry.
Due to the limited park access, non-resident park stickers are not being issued at this time. All previously purchased 2019 and 2020 non-resident stickers will remain valid.
Parking permits for vehicles that are not registered in Trumbull may be purchased for a fee of $112. Applicants must present a driver’s license and a current, non-expired, vehicle registration for private passenger and/or combination vehicles for the vehicle they wish to purchase a parking permit for. If requesting a park permit via email, there will be an additional $1.00 charge for mailing.
Applicants must present a Connecticut driver's license and a current, non-expired, vehicle registration for private passenger and/or combination vehicles reflecting a tax town of Trumbull (Number 144). You must present registration for each vehicle you would like a parking sticker for. One parking permit is given for each vehicle registered in the Town of Trumbull.
If your current vehicle registration does not reflect the Town of Trumbull as the tax town, you may purchase a parking sticker for $112 or you can bring documentation and the Trumbull Parks and Recreation Department will change your registration and submit it to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for you. Trumbull residents and/or taxpayers who own vehicles paying taxes to a town other than Trumbull are considered Non-Residents.
Parking permits are available at the Trumbull Parks and Recreation Department, 5892 Main Street. It is the Tellalian Building on the corner of Main Street and Church Hill Road and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
If you cannot get to the office during regular business hours, please mail a photo copy of your car registration and your license with a self-addressed stamped envelope and we will return a permit by mail. Please include your name, address, email address and daytime phone number. Please allow two weeks for processing.

You can bring documentation and the Trumbull Parks and Recreation Department will change your registration and your license and submit it to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for you! Once you have submitted the necessary documentation you will be issued a parking sticker for your vehicle.
No, commercial vehicles are excluded from Trumbull parks by town ordinance.
Applications for a permit (PDF) must be submitted to the Trumbull Parks and Recreation Department at least 30 days prior to the event or your request may not be considered. Requests are reviewed and approved on a weekly basis. Fees must be submitted within 7 days of notification of permit approval. Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Additional Police/Security and rental of additional portable toilets will be required of any party over 200 guests. These additional services must be arranged for and paid by the Event Sponsor.

In order to obtain a vehicle parking sticker, Connecticut vehicles that do not show a tax town of Trumbull on their current registration will be changed in the Trumbull Parks and Recreation office and submitted to the DMV. If your license and/or your registration does not reflect a Trumbull address, then two documents from the provided list must be provided along with your current, non-expired Connecticut vehicle registration. Additional information may be required. All documentation must be in the same name and address of the applicant and the applicant must be present to sign off on the DMV documentation.

Yes. Those who own a home in Trumbull, but have an out of state car registration are eligible for a parking sticker. Please provide the following documentation: current out of state registration and license, Trumbull property tax bill with resident’s name and Trumbull address, and one additional utility bill reflecting the resident’s name and Trumbull address.
Yes. In addition to the current car registration, residents who drive company cars need to provide a letter on company letterhead stating that the car is assigned to them for personal use. This letter needs to be provided on a yearly basis. The letter should also include the make and the model of the car as well as the car’s license plate #.
Due to COVID-19 and the limited amount of parks that are open, we are not distributing guest passes at this time.
