Nonfiction Book Group Wednesday, September 4th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Consider this your invitation to read and discuss nonfiction! Friends of the Trumbull Library Board Meeting Thursday, September 5th from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. This is a regular meeting of the Friends of the Trumbull Library Board.  All are invited to attend.  The Friends are a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission to advocate and raise funds for the Trumbull Library. Adult Fiction Book Club Thursday, September 12th from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Join us as we read and discuss The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V. E. Schwab in person at the Trumbull Library. SCORE Small Business Workshop: Launching Your Brand Thursday, September 12th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Join us at Trumbull Library for our monthly SCORE workshop, where local experts share invaluable insights to empower entrepreneurs and small business owners like you. Ramon Peralta will share brand content strategies that will help to differentiate your business amongst your competitors. Register here. 

Adult Spelling Bee Saturday, September 14th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Have you ever wondered what being in a National Scripps Spelling Bee is like? Here is your chance to be a part of a thrilling and fun program that will test your spelling skills against others and hold down those nerves to make it to the top. All levels of spellers are welcome to become Trumbull Library’s first-ever Spelling Bee Champion! Did we mention there are prizes? Rules and Guidelines to be shared with those who register.

Baby Time Tuesday, September 3rd from 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Ages birth to 2. Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform fingerplays. Registration is not required.

Preschool Time Thursday, September 5th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Ages 3-5. Join Miss Katie for storytime! Listen to stories and complete a simple craft. Registration is not required.

Mini Artists Friday, September 6th from 11:30 p.m. to 12 p.m. A creative and sometimes messy art class where we focus on the process rather than the finished product. Our mini artists will be using food to create stamp patterns! We be using apples, lemons, corn and potatoes. Please be aware there may be food allergens present. Ages 3-5. Registration is required.

Little Scientists Friday, September 13th from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Join us for hands-on, messy activities focused on different scientific topics. Ages 3-5. Registration is required. Please only register for the amount of individuals participating in the program. Register here. 

TEEN PROGRAMMING

College 101: From Choosing Schools to the Application Process Tuesday, September 10th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Building a smart and balanced college list can be overwhelming. How many schools should be on it? How do I determine if a school is a reach or a target? What is the difference between Early Decision and Early Action anyway? Join us as CollegeWise counselor Matt Doyle offers answers to questions like these and some tips and tricks to feel more confident when navigating the college search and application process. Teen ArtClub Wednesday, September 11th from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. During art club, teens will have the option to either work on a special art project that will be determined each month or they can bring in their own personal projects from home. Teens are encouraged, but not required, to bring their sketch books to share with other members. For teens ages 12-17. Register here. 

Fairchild Nichols

Fairchild Storytime Tuesday, September 17th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come join Miss Niki for story time! We will have a little bit of stories a little bit of music and a show stopping craft. Registration required. Ages 2-4

Pete Goes to the Music Room with Michele Urban Music Thursday, September 19th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. When Pete goes to the music room, “it’s all good!” Michele shares jazzy new songs and cool stories about Pete’s far out, musical adventures. Kids and their families shake their shakers to a rockin’ “cool cat chant” and sing a groovy song called, “Pete the Cat”. Everyone will see how groovy life can be as they sing along, play with outta sight rhythm instruments. Then it’s time to boogie down to funky songs, just like Pete! it’s the grooviest music experience for kids and the adults they love. Right on! Register here.
