Rails to Back Trails: A Local History Bike Tour Sunday, October 20th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Local Trumbull Historian Sue Del Bianco will take cyclists back in time to when train was king in the Trumbull Valley. Sue will be stopping off at many historical points-of-interest along the rail-trail: a cow tunnel, site of a train wreck, remains of an amusement park, a mill, a mining company, two train stations, and a reputed witch's gravesite. Please meet at Tait Rd. Commuter Parking Lot. If you are local we encourage you to bike to the meeting location as parking can become an issue. Register here. 
Eastern CT Paranormal Society presents: The Truth Behind Investigating the Unknown Sunday, October 20th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Just in time for Halloween, join us for a presentation by the Eastern Connecticut Paranormal Society. This program focuses on the reality behind paranormal investigating. Some key points that will be discussed include: the process of investigating paranormal claims and how it should be done, the importance of professionalism and education in the field, and evidence review. Real-life case studies will be discussed with time to answer questions and share your experiences. Register here.

In The Shadow of Big Red Eye: Searchin' America Tour '24 Wednesday, November 6th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Join Producer, Lead Investigator and New Jersey Native Mike Familant as he shares his experiences researching and tracking down the truth behind North America’s most iconic cryptid, Bigfoot. He will exhibit some extraordinary evidence backed by facts which he and his team have collected throughout his journey, along with some of the unfortunate experiences which come along with Bigfooting. Nonfiction Book Group Wednesday, November 6th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Consider this your invitation to read and discuss nonfiction! We read a wide variety of popular fiction and across the genres of nonfiction. November’s book selection is Cobalt Red: How The Blood of the Congo Powers Our Lives by Siddharth Kara. Register here. 

Passport Services Saturday, September 21st from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We are happy to partner with the Ferguson Library’s U.S. Passport Center to host passport clinics at Trumbull Library. Their team will Process U.S. passport applications; Guide those that are processing renewals for adults; Take passport photo; Provide all forms; Make copies of all documents; Credit card and cash processing. PJ Storytime Monday, October 21st from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Put on your PJs, bring your favorite stuffed animal, and join Miss Nevada for storytime and a simple craft! Ages 3-6. Registration is required.

Halloween Chess Club Thursday, October 24th from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. All ages and skill levels are invited to play. Celebrate Halloween early with a game of chess (costumes optional)! Please bring a chess board if you own one. Registration is requested but not required.

Mini Artists Friday, November 1st from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. A creative and messy art class where we focus on the process rather than the finished product. Ages 3-5. Registration is required. Please only register for the number of little ones participating, not the adult!

Toddler Time (Ages 2-3) Monday, November 4th from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Join Ms. Chelsie in person for stories, songs, and dances. Ages 2-3. Registration is not required.

Baby Time Tuesday, November 5th from 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Ages birth to 2. Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform fingerplays. Registration is not required.

Chapter Chatter Book Club Tuesday, November 5th from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Join Miss Katie for the 3-5 grade book club, Chapter Chatter! We will meet monthly on Tuesdays at 6PM to discuss that month's pick. The first ten children registered may pick up a library copy of that month's pick! November's pick is Field Guide to the Supernatural Universe by Alyson Noel. Register here.

Preschool Time Thursday, November 7th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Ages 3-5. Join Miss Katie for storytime! Listen to stories and complete a simple craft. Registration is not required.

KIDTEEN

Cryptid Crafting Wednesday, October 23rd from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Teens ages 12-17 will get to make either Nessie or the Mothman out of felt using templates. All supplies will be provided. Registration is required. Note: There will be sewing involved.

Teen Art Club Wednesday, November 6th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. During art club, teens will have the option to either work on a special art project that will be determined each month or they can bring in their own personal projects from home. Teens are encouraged, but not required, to bring their sketch books to share with other members. For teens ages 12 - 17. Register here.

Knitting Without Needles for Teens Saturday, November 9th from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. You’ve seen it on YouTube, now you can get in-person tips on the fast and fun knitting craze called arm knitting. At the end of the 90-minute program, patrons (ages 13-18) will be able to cast on, knit and bind off an infinity scarf with just your arms. Registration required.

Kids Take and Create Halloween Craft Tuesday, October 22nd Drop in every week during the month of October to create and take your own Halloween craft. Pick up your bag and make your craft here or take it home and make it there! This week’s theme: Scary ghosts.

Fairchild Storytime (Ages 2-4) Tuesday, October 22nd from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come join Miss Niki for story time! We will have a little bit of stories a little bit of music and a show stopping craft. Registration required. Ages 2-4.
