Passport Services Saturday, November 9th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We are happy to partner with the Ferguson Library’s U.S. Passport Center to host passport clinics at Trumbull Library. Their team will Process U.S. passport applications; Guide those that are processing renewals for adults; Take passport photo; Provide all forms; Make copies of all documents; Credit card and cash processing. More information about required documents, pricing, and services, please check the Ferguson Library Passport Center Website. Registration not required. First come, first served.

Friends of the Trumbull Library Board Meeting Thursday, November 7th from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. This is a regular meeting of the Friends of the Trumbull Library Board.  All are invited to attend.  The Friends are a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission to advocate and raise funds for the Trumbull Library.  For more information about the Friends, along with information on how you can join and contribute, please visit: https://www.trumbull-ct.gov/941/Friends 

Veterans Town Hall Sunday, November 10th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Trumbull Historical Society and the Trumbull Library have partnered to present the Vets Town Hall! At this event, 10 veterans of various eras and experiences will share their perspectives on what it means to serve our country. Inspired by author Sebastian Junger's Vets Town Halls, this is a a non-partisan, non-political event in which all viewpoints are valued. Honor our veterans simply by listening. Refreshments will be served and Vintage uniforms will be on display. Registration is encouraged.

Trumbull Library News & Events

The Yarn Darlings Wednesday, November 13th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Join our fiber arts group The Yarn Darlings! We will meet every other Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Bring your knitting, crocheting, needle punching, needle felting, or any other yarn craft to work on while socializing with other crafters. All skill levels are welcome. We can’t wait to see you there. Registration is requested for the group but not required. 

SCORE: Financial Management & Cost Containment for Small Business in Changing Times Thursday, November 14th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Over the past several years, many small and medium businesses have had to cope with the after effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting changes in the business economy. They have had to increase the prices of their products and services due to the rising costs of doing business. Sometimes businesses are hit with unexpected costs in their supply chains. What kind of things can be done to mitigate higher business costs? Register here. 

Upcycled Jewelry Saturday, November 16th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Bring already-owned costume jewelry that you can break apart to create a new earring, bracelet, or necklace. You can bring your tools like pliers and other accessories you would like to include in remaking your new jewelry. The library can also provide tools like fishing lines, pliers, and other beads. Patrons are encouraged to check out yard sales and thrift stores for low-cost costume jewelry and other materials. We can provide books and websites for them to look at for inspiration. Baby Time Tuesday, November 12th from 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Ages birth to 2. Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform fingerplays. Registration is not required.

Preschool Time Thursday, November 14th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Ages 3-5. Join Miss Katie for storytime! Listen to stories and complete a simple craft. Registration is not required.

Miss Claudia Sings a Story Friday, November 15th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Join Miss Claudia for a musical storytime! Ages 2-5. Younger/Older siblings welcome. Registration is not required.

Fairchild Nichols

Fairchild Storytime (Ages 2-4) Tuesday, November 12th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come join Miss Niki for story time! We will have a little bit of stories a little bit of music and a show stopping craft. Registration required. Ages 2-4. 

Random Adult Book Club Monday, December 2nd from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. You never know what genre we will explore or rabbit hole we'll go down! Come join us for a book club that is exactly that.  "Hot Book" fiction, thrillers, mysteries, memoirs, sci-fi, non-fiction, romance. The book selection for this month is: The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett. Register here.

Holiday Music Extravaganza with Tom Weber Saturday, December 7th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Start the Holiday Season with Tom Weber and his Merry Band of Instruments. Tom’s performances are filled with interactive movement, props, singing, dancing, and lots of energy. His repertoire includes original songs as well as traditional favorites. Tom’s music is intended to get children moving, singing, feeling confident, and having fun! Registration required, all ages.
