The Yarn Darlings Wednesday, February 19th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Bring your knitting, crocheting, needle punching, needle felting, or any other yarn craft to work on while socializing with other crafters. All skill levels are welcome. We can’t wait to see you there. Registration is requested for the group but not required.

Newspapers With Your Library Card Saturday, February 22nd from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Trumbull Library System provides online access to local newspapers such as Trumbull Times and Connecticut Post, but also national publications like the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. We’ll show you how to access these papers with your library card through the library website. Register here.

Oscar Talk with Film Critic Joe Meyers Tuesday, February 25th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Joe Meyers returns for his annual Oscar talk & discussion. Meyers will discuss the history of the Academy Awards and this year’s slate of nominees, as well as who he thinks might win at the 97th Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday, March 2nd. Meyers will also moderate a discussion with the participants on what they think of this year’s batch of movies and those that received nominations. Register here.

Explore Virtual Reality Sunday, March 2nd from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Get ready for a journey like no other. Join Xperiment Virtual Reality as they bring you 360 virtual reality content. Xperiment VR uses the latest computing technology that supports room-scale Virtual Reality experiences. Room-Scale gives the player freedom to walk around, dodge, and duck in a virtual world. You will be able to see, hear, and sense the virtual world you are in thus providing you with a new way not only to experience gaming but also a new way to learn. Stop by to see what it can do. Drop-in Game Night Monday, March 3rd from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Looking for some new board game buddies? Curious to try out different games? Stop by and play games like Scattergories, Cranium, Chess. Bring a friend, and feel free to bring your own game to teach. Registration requested but not required. Drop in with the family to explore tabletop games at the library.

Nonfiction Book Group Wednesday, March 5th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Consider this your invitation to read and discuss nonfiction! We read a wide variety of popular fiction and across the genres of nonfiction. March’s book selection is Solito: A Memoir by Javier Zamora. Register here.

Toddler Time (Walkers-3) Monday, February 24th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Come and join us for some music and movement at the library! We will sing, dance, and read together. This is a drop-in program. No registration required.

Preschool Time Monday, February 24th from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Ages 3-5. Join Miss Kristine for circle time, stories, and complete a simple craft. Registration is not required.

Pajama Storytime (Ages 3-6) Wednesday February 26th from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Put on your PJs, bring your favorite stuffed animal, and join Miss Kristine for storytime and a simple craft! Ages 3-6. Registration is required.

Miss Claudia Sings a Story Friday, February 14th from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Join Miss Claudia for a musical storytime! Ages 2-5. Younger/Older siblings welcome. Registration is not required.

Joy Blooms Bubble Poppin' Boogie (Ages 2-5) Thursday, February 27th from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Let’s Bubble Poppin’ Boogie! Get ready to sing, dance, and pop bubbles in this interactive music and storytime adventure with Joy Blooms! Perfect for kids who love music, movement, and a whole lot of fun. Register here.

Teen ArtClub Wednesday February 19th from 5:30 p.m. During art club, teens will have the option to either work on a special art project that will be determined each month or they can bring in their own personal projects from home. Teens are encouraged, but not required, to bring their sketch books to share with other members. For teens ages 12 - 17. Register here.

Tiny Tales 2s, 3s and 4s Tuesday, February 18th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come join Miss Niki for story time! We will have a little bit of stories a little bit of music and a show stopping craft. Registration required. Ages 2-4

Namaste Yoga for Children Thursday, February 27th from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Join Krista Boyer for a fun, interactive yoga class for children ages 6 to 10.
