Drop-in Game Night Monday, March 3rd from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Looking for some new board game buddies? Curious to try out different games? Stop by and play games like Scattergories, Cranium, Chess. Bring a friend, and feel free to bring your own game to teach. Registration requested but not required. Drop in with the family to explore tabletop games at the library.

Nonfiction Book Group Wednesday, March 5th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Consider this your invitation to read and discuss nonfiction! We read a wide variety of popular fiction and across the genres of nonfiction. March’s book selection is Solito: A Memoir by Javier Zamora. Register here.

Silent Book Club Thursday, March 6th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Do you have trouble making time to read? Is your home full of distractions? Are you an introvert who still enjoys a chance to get out of the house? If any of these situations apply to you, come to a meeting of our own chapter of Silent Book Club. Unlike a traditional book club, there are no assigned readings and no deadlines. Bring a book of your own choosing, or pick out a new one at the library, and we’ll have an hour of silent reading time together. Register here. 

Abe Ovadia, Jazz Guitarist Saturday, March 8th from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Join renowned jazz guitarist Abe Ovadia for "Reimagining The American Songbook," where he brings new life to classic jazz standards in a modern, captivating way. In this program, Abe not only performs but also explores the creative process behind jazz improvisation, sharing insights into the genre's rich history and cultural significance. Register here.

Jay Daniels: "My Heart Wants to Sing: The Songs of Rodgers & Hammerstein" Sunday, March 9th from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. “The Hills Are Alive” as pianist and vocalist Jay Daniels offers an enchanting concert celebrating the timeless works of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. Enjoy a captivating afternoon filled with unforgettable songs from beloved American musicals such as Oklahoma!, South Pacific, and The King and I. Jay will also perform treasured selections from The Sound of Music, in honor of the 60th anniversary of its acclaimed film adaptation in 2025. (Note: The Sound of Music was originally released on film on March 2, 1965.) Register here.

Puzzle Swap Saturday, March 15th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Take a puzzle, leave a puzzle! Join us to swap out your old jigsaw puzzles for new-to-you puzzles. Puzzles must be 300 pieces or more, in good condition, with all pieces present. Please have the puzzle pieces inside a plastic bag in the box. Registration is not required. Register if you would like a reminder two days before the event. 

Tales of Ancient Celts - CJ May Sunday, March 16th from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Travel back in time to ancient Ireland and other Celtic lands through this storytelling presentation by seanachie, CJ May. These legends of monsters, magic and heroes will be offered in much of their original "gritty glory" and are intended for adult audiences. Register here.

Toddler Time (Walkers-3) Monday, March 3rd from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Come and join us for some music and movement at the library! We will sing, dance, and read together. This is a drop-in program. No registration required.

Preschool Time Monday, March 3rd from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Ages 3-5. Join Miss Kristine for circle time, stories, and complete a simple craft. Registration is not required.

Chapter Chatter Book Club Tuesday, March 4th from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Join Miss Katie for the new 3-5 grade book club, Chapter Chatter! We will meet monthly on Tuesdays at 6 p.m.to discuss that month's pick. The first ten children registered may pick up a library copy of that month's pick March's pick is Nightbooks by J.A. White. Baby Time (Birth-walking) Wednesday, March 5th from 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Ages birth to walking.  Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform fingerplays. Registration is not required.

Book Dragons Book Club Wednesday, March 5th from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Book Dragons Book Club is for kids in grades 1 and 2. This month we are reading Wind Riders: Rescue on Turtle Beach by Jen Marlin. Read the book on your own and then join us at the library for a fun discussion, related activity, and snack. Register here.

TEEN PROGRAMMING

Teen Mandala Craft Tuesday, March 11th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. In this relaxation event, teens will get to color in their own felt-based mandala. Register here. 

Teen ArtClub Wednesday, March 12th from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. During art club, teens will have the option to either work on a special art project that will be determined each month or they can bring in their own personal projects from home. Teens are encouraged, but not required, to bring their sketch books to share with other members. For teens ages 12 - 17. Register here.

Fairchild Nichols

Tiny Tales (2-4) Tuesday, March 4th from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come join Miss Niki for story time! We will have a little bit of stories a little bit of music and a show stopping craft. Registration required. Ages 2-4.

Draw Funny Stuff Cartoon Saturday, March 8th from 11 a.m. Join Debi the "cow-toonist" in creating your own CARTOON. For this program we will be learning Manga-Chibi Cartooning. Kids have fun as they work on Manga and Chibi cartoon basics such as drawing faces, expressions, and how to create different action poses, with lots of movement and expression. Ages 7-10. Register here.

Namaste Yoga for "Littles" Wednesday, March 12th from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Join Krista Boyer for a fun, interactive yoga class for children ages 2 to 6. Bring a mat or towel, bring a water bottle, wear your comfortable clothes and join us for a "zen" 45 minutes of relaxation for your little ones and their caregivers.
