Just Write Peer Writing Group Tuesday, December 2nd from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Considering a memoir? Dabbling in poetry? Composing essays? All types of writing are welcome: fiction, nonfiction, poetry, memoirs, blog posts, essays, and more. Our policy is to focus on the quality of the piece and not the content. Trumbull Eats: A "Dense" History of Fruitcake Thursday, December 4th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. When you hear the word “fruitcake,” do you think doorstop instead of dessert? Following an old family recipe, we’ll demonstrate making a traditional English fruitcake, also known as "Christmas Cake." We'll also discuss the history of this centuries-old treat which is still beloved across the UK, and whether it deserves its negative reputation. And we'll show a variation that involves chocolate, which is sure to win over even the most diehard fruitcake haters. Register here.
