The residential Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) User Rate per Centum Cubic Feet (CCF) for Fiscal 2020 is $5.74. A single fixed residential Unit Charge of $33.00per quarter is billed every resident with access to the sewer system. Residents not connected are not exempt from this cost.
The number of CCFs each dwelling generates is determined by the amount of water coming into the house. That consumption is measured by their water meters and billed quarterly. The consumption plus the Unit Charge determines the total sewer user bill.
Example: Water consumption of 21 CCF multiplied $5.74 equals $120.54 plus the Unit Charge $33.00 equals $153.54 for the quarter.
The estimated cost to Bridgeport for Sewage Treatment: $6,331,425 is based on an estimated consumption of 1,065,000 CCF.
Approximately 65% of the Town of Trumbull has sanitary sewer service.
