Online Tax Payments


Taxpayers can view and make online payments for Sewer Use, Real Estate, Personal Property, and Motor Vehicles. Online payments will be reflected and updated on the online system within 2 business days.

WPCA Sewer Use Bills can be paid online. Visit the Sewer Usage Bills page for additional information.

Sewer Assessments are unavailable to view and pay online.

Mailing Tax Payments

Tax payments can be mailed to Trumbull Tax Collector, 5866 Main Street, Trumbull, CT 06611

  • Please make checks payable to "Trumbull Tax Collector" 
  • Please note that if you use the mail, the U.S. postmark will be honored as the date of payment, regardless of when the payment is processed.  
  • No cash will be accepted through the mail.
  • For safety and security reasons, there will be no drop off box for tax payments.

In Person Tax Payments

Tax payments can be made in the Tax Collector's office at Town Hall (5866 Main Street, Trumbull, CT 06611) during normal business hours by check or by cash. Credit cards are not accepted in the office and can only be accepted using our online payment system.

Please note: we cannot accept more than $200 in singles or more than $10.00 in coins per day, per customer.

Payments over the phone are not permitted.

Important Notice Regarding Payment of Delinquent Motor Vehicle Taxes 

If you have accessed this site to pay delinquent motor vehicle taxes and obtain an Immediate DMV Clearance, please contact the office at 203-452-5024 to verify the amount due Payment must be made in the office in the form of cash or certified check to obtain an immediate DMV clearance. Credit card payments can be made online only and there is a 1 business day wait for the clearance. You must call the office on the next business day for this release. Note: do not use the e-check option if you need an Immediate DMV Clearance. Payments made by e-check or personal check will be cleared in 10 business days. All outstanding vehicle taxes in your name, including taxes not yet delinquent, must be paid in order for a release to be issued. This includes the January installment.

Taxpayers can also view and print payment information for income tax or other purposes. If the Tax Collector's office is requested to print this information, there will be a fee of $1 per page.
