Steps to Apply for Permits and Applications
Due to the COVID-19 preventive measures implemented by the Town of Trumbull, permitting applications for residential and commercial projects is being managed electronically. View the most current Permit, Inspection, and Land Use Application Guidance on the Permits and Applications page.
The public must have an appointment to come into any Town Buildings. An online scheduling system to make appointments with some Town departments can be found on the Town website. Please go to the home page and click on the link for "Schedule an Appointment" and follow the directions for the department you wish to visit. Description of Services
The Planning and Zoning Department handles all administrative functions of the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals. All applications are processed through the department, monthly hearings are held, and all is conducted according to State statutes and local zoning regulations. The Planning and Zoning Department signs off on building permits, and answers all questions about zoning throughout the Town.
