On Saturday, November 6, 2021, a two-car motor vehicle accident occurred on Daniels Farm Road in Trumbull, resulting in serious injuries to a Bridgeport teen. The victim, a nineteen (19) year old male, was the driver and only occupant of a white BMW that was traveling southbound on Daniels Farm Road near Hillcrest Middle School when it collided head-on with a black BMW that was traveling northbound.
Officers who were nearby on an unrelated case heard the collision and immediately responded to the scene and found the two (2) vehicles, both with heavy front end damage. The occupants of the black BMW reported no injuries, but officers located the other driver in his vehicle, who was seriously injured and unconscious.
Officers provided lifesaving medical treatment, including CPR, until the arrival of Trumbull EMS. Ambulance personnel continued medical treatment before transporting the driver to St. Vincent’s Hospital.
The Trumbull Police Traffic Division officers were assisted by officers from the Fairfield and Monroe Police Departments and are continuing the investigation into the cause of the collision. No charges have yet been filed.
Daniels Farm Road had to be shut down for several hours while the accident was being investigated, but reopened during the overnight hours.
