PURPOSE OF THE FLIGHT: Eversource will be conducting LiDAR scans across transmission lines in Connecticut in April 2022, which includes helicopter flights over the transmission lines at 1400’. LiDAR is an aerial high-tech survey of the transmission system. It allows for Eversource’s Engineers to optimize the analysis, design, and configuration of the transmission lines using up-to-date electronic data.
