News Flash

WHEREAS, during the week of May 14^th – 20^th we celebrate National Nursing Home Week, also known as National Skilled Nursing Care Week, and announce this year’s theme, “Cultivating Kindness”; and 

WHEREAS, skilled nursing care facilities play an essential role in providing safe and effective 24-hour care to millions of elderly and disabled individuals each year; and  

WHEREAS, nursing homes in Trumbull have made important contributions to the success and growth of our community by staffing these homes with well-trained, caring individuals who give their time, energy and attention to those in need; and 

WHEREAS,  everyone is urged to visit a loved one, friend, or neighbor being cared for in a nursing home; and  

WHEREAS, we set aside time to honor the excellence of the work of the staff of our nursing home facilities as they are “Cultivating Kindness,” while caring for our elderly and disabled citizens;    

NOW THEREFORE I, Vicki A. Tesoro, by virtue of the authority vested in me as First Selectman of the Town of Trumbull, Connecticut do hereby proclaim the week of May 14^th – 20^th, 2023 as National Nursing Home Week

 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Town of Trumbull to be affixed on the 15^th day of May, in the year 2023.
