Share the Spirit of Thanksgiving — How You Can Help Local Families

Dear Community Members,

Our Holiday Giving Program is preparing for the Thanksgiving season, ensuring local families and individuals can enjoy a warm and festive holiday meal.This year, the majority of recipients will receive a turkey, gift card, and shelf-stable food items from a local supermarket to help them purchase the ingredients they need for their Thanksgiving meal.If you’d like to help, we are accepting monetary donations, grocery store gift cards, and nonperishable food items from the list below:
  • Stuffing
  • Instant mashed potatoes
  • Corn Bread Mix
  • Boxed Mac n Cheese
  • Gravy
  • Applesauce
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Canned vegetables (green beans, corn, carrots, mixed vegetables – 4–6 cans if possible)
  • Canned sweet potatoes
  • Poultry seasoning
  • Dinner rolls (shelf-stable or frozen)
  • Holiday dessert mix or boxed dessert
  • Frozen Turkeys.  Please note: we cannot accept defrosted or partially thawed turkeys.
Expired items will be discarded—please check expiration dates before donating.

How to Donate

  • Online: Monetary donations can be made securely on our website at https://www.trumbull-ct.gov/310/Food-Pantry
  • Gift Cards: Grocery store gift cards can be dropped off at 23 Priscilla Place, Trumbull.   You may leave at the main office or with the Social Services Office. 
  • Food Donations: Nonperishable items can be dropped off. Please make an appointment if you have a large donation.  Pantry Hours:  We’re open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.
All Thanksgiving donations should be received by November 7, 2025 to allow time for sorting and distribution.
