01/16/2020 Correction Update below to reflect both parties are from Waterbury, not Bridgeport.

A customer who had complained about their food assaulted an employee of Sarku Japan Restaurant, located in the Westfield Trumbull Mall, around 4:30 on Wednesday January 15, 2020.

According to witnesses, Hilary Nolasco-Delobre, 18, of Waterbury, who was part of a group of five, approached the employee and complained about the size of the portion that she had received.

An argument ensued resulting in Nolasco-Delobre jumping over the service counter and attacking the employee. As this was occurring, Davon Myles 26, of Waterbury, and other members of the group began throwing food and napkin containers around causing approximately $1,100.00 in damage and lost revenue.

The victim received minor injuries.

Both Nolasco-Delobre and Myles were charged with Breach of Peace 2nd degree and released on a Promise to Appear. Nolasco-Delobre is scheduled to appear in court on January 24, 2020 and Myles is scheduled to appear on January 22, 2020.
