This is First Selectman Vicki Tesoro. Town officials have been meeting regularly with the Director of Health, Luci Bango, to discuss the Coronavirus, or COVID-19. The Coronavirus is not an immediate health threat to our residents, but we are asking all of our residents to be prepared and aware of the latest information.
The best way to protect yourself and your family from this virus is frequent and thorough handwashing for at least 20 seconds with soap and warm water. You should avoid contact with those who are sick, and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Also, it is important to clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces, such as cell phones and door knobs. If you are sick, please stay home and rest. If you suspect you have COVID-19, please contact your healthcare provider immediately.
The most current information about this virus can be found on the Town of Trumbull’s website at trumbull-ct.gov. This site is updated as new information becomes available. For information specific to our schools, please visit the Board of Education website at trumbullps.org. Information is also available in the Trumbull Times and at the Trumbull Senior Center.
During this time of concern, as always, the health and safety of the residents of the Town of Trumbull is my greatest priority.
Thank you and stay well.
