This is First Selectman Vicki Tesoro with an important COVID-19 update:
The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Trumbull is now 260. There are 39 Trumbull residents who have passed away. Connecticut now has 22,469 confirmed cases and 1,544 deaths. Please keep all of these families in your thoughts.
The first rapid testing site for the virus opened last Friday at the former Gateway Community College campus in New Haven. Please see the Town website for more information.
Please continue to follow social distancing guidelines to keep your family and others safe.
Last evening the Trumbull Town Council passed a Tax Deferment Program for all residents and businesses.
This deferment affects the April 1st, 2020 real estate tax and sewer assessment payments, the May 1st, 2020 sewer use fee, and the July 1st, 2020 real estate tax, sewer assessment, personal property tax, and motor vehicle tax payments.
Landlords who wish to be included in this program will need to file an eligibility application. Please visit the town website for more information.
The Governor issued an order last week requiring cloth face coverings or face masks in public where it is not possible to effectively social distance. The order went into effect on Monday, April 20th.
If you or anyone you know is struggling to purchase food or can’t get to the store please contact Social Services at 203-452-5136, for this and other services and assistance.
Donations of food and monetary contributions are needed at the Food Pantry. Please visit the Town website or call 203-452-5136 for more information on how you can donate.
