Trumbull EMT Meg Zeitler Receives 2020 EMS Vocation Award
First Selectman Vicki Tesoro and Trumbull EMS Chief Leigh Goodman are pleased to share the news that Trumbull EMS was selected by the Connecticut EMS Advisory Board Council of Regional Presidents to receive the 2020 CT EMS Agency of the Year Award. In addition, Trumbull EMT Meg Zeitler was awarded the 2020 EMS Vocation Award, which recognizes an individual whose chosen career is Emergency Medical Services.
The CT EMS Agency of the Year Award recognizes an EMS Organization that has enhanced the understanding and support of the EMS System through its public service, community education and contributions to a city, town, region, or the state as a whole. Chief Goodman states, “This award is a reflection of our professional care and commitment to serving our community. The Trumbull EMS team has worked together to ensure we continue to deliver high quality care to our community in the emergency setting, and as part of our community outreach programs.”
The EMS Vocation Award recognizes an individual whose chosen career is Emergency Medical Services. “Meg is receiving this award in recognition of her compassion and care for her patients and the community. We are so proud of her,” states Chief Goodman.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, in lieu of a statewide presentation ceremony the Regional EMS Council Presidents will be coordinating smaller presentations while adhering to current COVID protocols.
“I couldn’t be prouder of our entire outstanding Trumbull EMS team. I want to thank each and every member for their dedicated service to the community, including EMT Meg Zeitler, who is such an invaluable member of the team. I am sure the entire Town of Trumbull shares in wishing all of you congratulations,” states Tesoro.
