Wednesday, November 11, 2020 is Veterans Day. On this day we honor the men and women who served our nation, in times of war and peace, as members of our armed forces. From the time of the Revolutionary War to this very day, men and women served and continue to serve our country at great personal sacrifice.
They served to preserve the freedoms we often take for granted. However, more than that, our veterans have served to bring to others the freedoms we enjoy. It is said that the American soldier never came to conquer, but to liberate.
So, mindful of their service in whatever capacity, it is up to us, the beneficiaries of their service, to commit ourselves to honor our veterans not just this day, but every day.
Let’s always remember to say thank you to the veterans who have served our country.
