[ARCHIVED] 2021-01-14 COVID-19 Vaccination Update

Vaccine (JPG)

Good Evening,

This is First Selectman Vicki Tesoro with a COVID-19 Vaccination update.

At this time all Phase 1a and those Phase 1b individuals who are 75 years of age and older are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccination.

If you are 75 years of age and older and you are interested in receiving the vaccine you will need to register to do so.

You can use the following link to register online for the vaccine: https://portal.ct.gov/Coronavirus/COVID-19-Vaccination---75-and-older

This video provides a step by step process to assist you in registering for the vaccine on the Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS): https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AJy6mA6Nmm0&feature=youtu.be  Thank you to the Town of Wilton for sharing the video with us.

Every individual MUST have their own unique email to register using the online site.  For example, if you are registering your elderly parent and you use your email, you will not be able to be vaccinated using that same email.

You can also schedule an appointment on the phone by calling the CT COVID Vaccine Appointment Assist Line at 877-918-2224. The line will take calls on Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will offer a call-back option when all contact specialists are busy serving other callers.

If you do not have access to the internet, or you are not familiar with how to use it, or you are having problems using the online system please call the Senior Center at 203-452-5199. Calls will be returned in the order they are received.  Due to the high volume of calls, please allow 2 business days for your call to be returned.

Please visit the following site for more information on other ways to schedule an appointment: https://portal.ct.gov/Coronavirus/COVID-19-Vaccination---75-and-older

For other individuals in Phase 1B, including  front line essential workers, and individuals and staff in congregate settings, vaccinations will begin in the coming weeks or as soon as the vaccine becomes available. We will notify you as soon as we receive further information.

Again we ask for your patience as the vaccination distribution process continues to evolve.

Please stay well and stay safe.

Thanks for listening.
