The Town of Trumbull is proud to host the 10th annual Reading of the Declaration of Independence which will take place on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., on the front steps of the Trumbull Town Hall.

First Selectman Vicki Tesoro encourages residents to attend  the Reading where “We will be celebrating our nation’s freedom this weekend at Trumbull Day! Please join us on Sunday morning as we continue to celebrate on Independence Day with a dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence. “

This historic portrayal features members of The We The People Team and citizen volunteers reading the Declaration. Hear the passionate words written by our Founding Fathers against the tyranny of King George III as we confirm our resolve to Forever Be A Free Nation.

This event is for the entire family, and Colonial costumes are encouraged.

The reading will be recorded for viewing on Trumbull Community Television (TCTV) and live-streamed on the TCTV Facebook page.

For your comfort, please bring chairs. In case of rain, the Reading will be cancelled.
