Hearing All Voices IRS Small Business Workshop and Listening Session 2022
 
The IRS is hosting Zoom meetings for small business organizations and owners, especially those that conduct business in languages other than English. These 2-hour events will include presentations from IRS leadership from Examination, Collection, and Taxpayer Advocacy covering the top tax issues affecting small business owners regarding income, deductions, employment taxes, and recordkeeping. Also covered - getting ready for the 2022 filing season, tax scams targeting small businesses, and how the IRS is reorganizing to better serve small business taxpayers.

SBA 8(a) Application 4-part Webinar Series: February 22nd - 25th, 1pm-2pm EST
 
 The 8(a) Program helps provide a level playing field for small businesses owned by individuals who are socially and economically disadvantaged and are interested in expanding their footprint in the federal marketplace.
In this effort, the government limits competition for certain contracts to businesses that participate in the 8(a) Business Development program.
 
 To apply for the 8(a) program a business must:

  • be a small business;
  • at least 51% owned and controlled by U.S. citizens who are socially and economically disadvantaged;
  • have a personal net worth of $750 thousand or less, adjusted gross income of $350 thousand or less, and assets totaling $6 million or less;
  • demonstrate the potential for success such as having been in business for two years
